Orville "Dinger" McCroskey

Orville W. "Dinger" McCroskey, 68, of Shady Point, OK passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 in Shady Point, OK. Dinger was born in Ft. Smith, AR on November 1, 1941 to Orville W. Sr. & Wilma (McConnell) McCroskey. He was a self-employed car dealer (retired). He was a member of Shady Point Baptist Church. Dinger served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He had a passion for horses and trail riding. He enjoyed spending time with his family and camping with his brothers & sisters. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Marie McCroskey; brother, Bobby McCroskey; and his parents. Survivors include his beloved wife, Phyllis of the home; daughter & son in law, Vicki & Daryl Jackson of Shady Point, OK; son & daughter in law, Steve & Jamie McCroskey of Shady Point, OK; granddaughters, Mallary Jackson, Kellie & Shannon McCroskey; grandsons, Jerod Maker, Daryl & Justin Jackson; great grandchildren, Kyle, Dawson, & Cole Jackson; sister & brother in law, Emma & AV Skinner; brothers & sisters in law, Marie McCroskey, Eddie & Ann McCroskey, Charlie & Leta McCroskey, Freddy & Mary McCroskey; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends. Services will be held 2 pm, Monday, May 10, 2010 in Evans Chapel of Memories with Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Point Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Morgan, Kendall Morgan, Chad Jackson, Ken Richards, Ricky Barron, Rossi Christenberry. Honorary pallbearer, Bradley Jackson
