Martha E. Byous, 80, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 in Poteau, OK. Martha was born in Wister, OK on October 2, 1929 to Mark & Omie (Williams) Covey. She was a real estate agent. She was an advanced pilot and member of 99 Club (Women's Pilot Assoc.) She was also a cake decorator. She and Clyde were married 65 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and six siblings, Clyde Covey, Paul Covey, Dorothy Griffin, Wanda Covey, Ethel Covey and Zelma Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde of the home; 3 sons & daughters in law, Jerry Byous of Poteau, OK, Jim & Becky Byous of Savanna, GA, John & Lisa Byous of Poteau, OK; 2 daughters & son in law, Joyce Hair of Poteau, OK, Veda & Don Roush of Kansas City, MO; 6 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; other relatives and loved ones; many beloved friends.
Funeral services were held 10 am, Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Ellis Chapel Church in Wister, OK with Rev. Jack Covey officiating. Interment followed in Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister.

Clyde and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She is our loss too, we loved her and thought of her often. She will truly be missed by her family and loved ones.
Dorothy, Barbara and I missed both of you at the reunion this year.
