Neil Kitchens



Neil Rogers Kitchens of Arkoma, OK passed away November 29, 2015.  He was born October 10, 1926 in LeFlore, OK.  Neil was a retired administrator and teacher in the Arkoma School system.  He loved and respected his profession.  He served during WWII with the 11th Airborne. Neil was a generous and loving father and grandfather who always had great things growing in his garden.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian and his parents, Fred & Beatrice; brothers, Coleman, J.R., Dawes, John & Doug; son in law, Chubby King.

Survivors include his three daughters and sons in law, Janet King, Lujane and David Buttress of Arkoma; Joan and Gregg Goss of Perkins, OK; grandchildren, David Neil "Bo" and Renea Buttress, Jarrod Buttress, Jake and Ginger Goss, Jaycee and Travis Elliott; great granddaughters, Addison Buttress and Timber Goss;  three brothers, Clyde Kitchens, Kenneth Kitchens, Carrol Kitchens and one sister, Christine McElroy ; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Gregg Goss officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ft. Smith, AR.   Pallbearers will be his grandsons.  Honorary pallbearers will be the J-Sacs Coffee Group.

The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from  5-7 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

R.B.West



R.B.West, 77, of Heavener, OK passed away Thursday November 26, 2015 in Heavener. R.B. was born September 27, 1938 in Stap-Zoe, OK to S.A. & Christine( Permenter) West. He was a truck driver and attended the Baptist Church. R.B was preceded in death by his parents, step-son Joey Byrd; sister, Jimmie Lou Holley; 3 brothers, Donald West, Burness Lee Fox, & Jerreld Wayne Fox.

Survivors include his wife Emma Mae ( Lewis) West of the home; 3 sisters, Carolyn Sue Lowe, Ladonna Steelman, & Connie Smith of Forester, OK; Step- daughter Sharon Al Rifia of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Graveside services will be help at 2:00 pm Wednesday December 2, 2015 at Stapp-Zoe Cemetery.

James "Harlan" McCage




James "Harlan" McCage, 52, of Panama, OK passed away November 25, 2015 in Ft. Smith, AR. James was born March 4, 1963 in Poteau, OK to Coye & Lucille (Dotson) McCage.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wendy McCage, & father.

James is survived by 3 sons, Cody Boss of Paris AR, Brandon Boss of Paris, AR, Casey McCage of Panama, OK; daughter, Tyneisha Barnell of Paris, AR; 8 grandchildren; mother Lucille McCage of Panama, OK; 4 sister, Dian Ketter of Charleston, AR, Brenda Metcalf  of Charleston, AR. Sandra Taylor of Dardenell,AR, Martie Southerland of Pocola, OK; 4 brothers, Coye McCage Jr. of Cameron, OK, Russell McCage of Panama, OK, Tim McCage of Spiro, OK, James McCage of Coweta, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, loved ones, & friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday December 1, 2015 at Mt. Olive Cemetery, in Midland, AR. The family will be at the funeral home on Monday November 30th from 6-8pm to visit with friends and family

Brynlee Ann Driver


Brynlee Ann Driver, 3 years old, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday November 26, 2015 in Poteau. Brynlee was born July 23, 2012 in Tulsa, OK to Brandy Davis of Poteau, OK, and Matthew Driver of Broken Arrow, OK.

Brynlee is survived by her parents; maternal grandparents, Keith and Maria Davis of Poteau, OK; paternal grandmother, Carol Nelson of Glenpool, OK; paternal grandfather, Mike Driver of Okmulgee, OK; great grandfather, Charles McMillin of Poteau, OK; 5 uncles; numerous other relatives, loved ones, and friends.

Service will be held at 2:00pm on November 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Poteau, OK with interment following at Vaughn Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Sunday November 29th from 6-8 pm to visit with family and friends.

Irene Marie (Dunham) McKnight




Irene Marie (Dunham) McKnight, 87, of  Poteau, OK passed away Tuesday November 24, 2015 in Ft. Smith, AR. Irene was born October 4, 1928 in Fort Thompson, OK to Elbridge Harm & Lola May ( Barnhart) Dunham.  Irene was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Poteau.



She is survived by 2 daughters & sons in law, Alvietta & Gary Howell of Poteau, OK, Cheryl Rehna & Brent Barbour of Borger, TX;  2 sons & daughter in law, Alvie W. McKnight of Poteau, OK, Jimmy Dale & Connie McKnight of Amarillo, TX;  6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren;  sister Lona Mae & husband Toby Anderson of Antlers, OK; 2 brothers, Buddy Dunham of Antlers, OK, E.H. Dunham  & wife Odessa of Afton, OK; numerous other relatives, loved ones, and friends.



Memorial Services will be held 10:30 am  Monday December 7, 2015 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Reed  officiating.
