Marilyn Louise Brown

Marilyn Louise Brown, 72, of Vian, OK passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Vian.  Marilyn was born September 20, 1948 in Hominy, OK to Howard & Ina Sue (Kendrick) Martin.  She was an accountant.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Douglas Brown.

 

Survivors include her son, David Brown; grandchildren, Makaila, Beau, Gracelynn & Jacob Brown ; and brother, Gary Martin; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

 

Services will be 11 am, Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister, OK.

Larry Gibson

 


   Services for Larry Eugene Gibson will be  2pm, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister with Gene Heflin & Bro. Herb Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister.  Pallbearers will be Tim, Tyler, & Scotty Gibson, Alan & Taggart Lockhart and J.R. Toon.

           Larry was born October 19, 1947 in Wister, OK to Ray & Delma (Welch) Gibson. He passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021in Howe, OK.   He was a welder and farmer.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Charlene Larson, Geraldene Slone; brothers, Donald Gibson, Harvey Gibson.

           Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Judy Gibson; children, Gary Gibson & Debbie, David Gibson & Penny, Becky Lockhart & Jason; grandchildren, Heather Toon, Tim Gibson, Tyler Gibson, Scotty Gibson, Alan Lockhart, Taggart Lockhart, Cooper Gibson, Brandi Smith and Alyssia Gibson; 8 great grandchildren;  brother, Harold & Novala Gibson.

           The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with friends and relatives.

Jim Estes

 

Jimmie Blue Estes, 82, of Cameron, OK departed this life to be with his Heavenly Father on  Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Cameron.  Jimmie was born October 14, 1938 in Millsap, TX to Olen O. & Lester (Ironmonger) Estes.   He moved to Oklahoma at the age of 15 and graduated from Cameron High School in 1957.  He married his high school sweetheart, Anita Walls, in 1958.  A short time later they moved to the Knothole community and began their farming and ranching life while at the same time working at Johnson Controls for 36 years. 

          Jim was a member of the Church of Christ for  67 years, on the board of directors at Farm Bureau for many years, a member of the LeFlore County Cattlemen’s Association and various other activities.

          He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anita, three daughters, Teresa and Tracy Ellis of Tulsa, OK, Sandra & Ronny Lum of Knothole, and Kathy & Scott Martin of Knothole, seven grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren; and one nephew Jimmie Burden of Knothole.  He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and two sisters.

          Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Poteau Church of Christ with Tracy Ellis, Ron Lum and Scott Martin officiating .  Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK.  Pallbearers will be Jeff, Jerod and Justin Lum, Colby & Clay Martin, Alayna Benefield and Kelsi Sellers.

          The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening  from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives  & friends.

Lorne Daniel Edwards

LORNE DANIEL EDWARDS, 49 of  MENA, AR   was born on August 25, 1971 in Poteau, OK to Nadine (Dewitt) and Leslie Dean Edwards.  He  passed away on April 22, 2021 in Hot Springs, AR..

 Survivors are his sister, Lisa Byous; brother, Dave Edwards; girlfriend, Teresa Davis; half brothers, Joe & Windell Edwards; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Family services will be held later.

Jenifer Necole Spurlock

 

    Jenifer Necole Spurlock, 41, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 in Springfield, MO.  Jenifer was born July 30, 1979 in Poteau, OK to Rick & Mary Catherine (Davidson) Rainwater.     She was preceded in death by her dad; sister, Tanya Childers and husband, David Spurlock.

           Survivors include her mother, Kathy; daughters, Alex & Jessica Spurlock; grandsons, Lyle & Kyle Spurlock; sisters, Sonya & Scott Rogers, Leann & Jamie Hobbs; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at  the funeral home.

Donna Gay LaRosa


Donna Gay LaRosa, 62, of  Monroe, OK passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her home.  Donna was born June 23, 1958 in Wichita, KS to John & Wanda (Mitchell) Barnes.  She was a homemaker.    She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Danna Barnes.

 

Survivors include her husband of  over 40 years, Rocco LaRosa; children, Jon & Beth LaRosa, Jon & Mandy Mitchell; grandchildren, Mason Mitchell, Ashton Bailey, Eben LaRosa, Caden & Chloe Mitchell; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

 

Services will be 2 pm Friday, April 23, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Poteau with Jim Perkin officiating.  Interment will follow at Monroe Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ashton Bailey, Jason Bowles, Tyler Barnes, Mason Mitchell, Trevor Barnes, Tim Bowles, Jerrod Wood.

   The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm.
