Shirley Welliver


Shirley Jean Welliver, 81, of Cameron, OK passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in Tulsa, OK.  Shirley was born October 13, 1936, in Cameron, OK to Melvin “Nick” & Velma (Bryant) Nichols.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Melton Welliver; daughter, Teresa Welliver Stephens; and Aunt Gay Huss.
          Survivors include her children; Cindy Farley, Kristie Daggs & husband Curtis, Jimmy Welliver & wife Cindy, Russell Welliver, Toni Welliver and Tommy Joe Roberts; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; sister, Beverly Sanders & brother, Rick Nichols; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
          Services will be 10 am, Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Cameron, OK with David HardIn officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK.  Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Wesley Stephens,  Paul Stephens, Brian Farley, Curtis Daggs Jr., Bradley Welliver, Dustin Adair, Tracy Stapp and Craig Culwell.
Gathering will be at First Baptist Church following the interment.
          The family will be at the funeral  home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Catherine Skelton


Mary “Catherine” Skelton, 98, of Panama, OK passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Catherine was born February 9, 1920, in Tahona, OK to William & Rena (Keeny) Darneal.  She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Skelton; sons, Jackie & Frank; grandsons, Terry Skelton & Larry Barnes; sisters, Nella Fay Rogers, Elda Mae Walker; and brothers, Raymond & Lloyd Darneal.
          Survivors include her daughters, Freda & Tommy Ray Farrar of Panama, OK, Shirley & Steve Woods of Talihina, OK; grandchildren, Gary Skelton of Cedarville, AR, Rodney Skelton of Shady Point, OK, Randy Farrar of St. Louis, MO, Billy Skelton of Shady Point, OK, Rocky Skelton of Shady Point, OK, Britney Dawkins of Panama, OK, Shelynda Harmon of Skiatook, OK, Sara Wallin of Minco,OK, Traci Frazier of Mustang, OK; 27 Great Grandchildren;  10 Great Great Grandchildren; sisters, Opal Brown of Snyder, TX and June Johnson of Poteau, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
          Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Panama Free Will Baptist Church, Panama, OK with David Nolan officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK.  Pallbearers will be Rodney, Rocky, Cody & Billy Skelton; Ryan & Randy Farrar.
          The family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Trudie O. Mathies


Trudie Opal Mathies, 95, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Trudie was born February 27, 1923, in Hill, OK to Gene & Susie (Pate) Irvin.  She was a surgical tech at LeFlore County Hospital for over 25 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Poteau.  Trudie had a servant’s heart until she died.  (She even tried to care for the people who shared her life at Memory Lane in Van Buren)  She would drop everything to take care of her children and grandchildren when needed.  She was a quilter and seamstress.  Her family are the proud owners of  her beautiful quilts.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Paul Mathies; sisters, Bea Pendley, Lorene Davis and Velma Collins.
          Survivors include her son, Robert C. Thompson of Ft. Smith, AR; daughter, Nancy Fetzer of Yukon, OK; granddaughters & their husbands, Robin & Gary Gray of Poteau, OK, Trudi & William Lupton of Yukon, OK; grandsons, David Thompson of  Poteau, OK, Chad  &  wife Tammy Fetzer of Lawton, OK, Chris Thompson & Franklin Sanchez  of San Francisco, CA; great grandchildren, Tyler Nunley, Bryce Nunley, Kyle Vincent, Molly Vincent, Johnathan Fetzer, Drew Arslan,  Brooklyn Cox, Allison Sachez-Thompson, Jennifer, Abby, Joe Lupton and Josh Hileman; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
          Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with grandson, Dr. Chad Fetzer and Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK.   

James G. Graham


James Gerald Graham, 76, of  Heavener, OK passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Fort Smith, AR.  James was born October 21, 1941 in San Diego, CA to James Derald & Agnes M. (Scott) Graham.  He was a veteran of the US Marines.  He was preceded in death by wife, Paula; his parents; son, James; one grandson Joshua Ollar; sister, Jala Grace; brother, William Tom Graham.
          Survivors include his wife, Malva of the home;  daughters & sons in law, Elizabeth Wilson & Scott Baker of Marble, Hill, MO, Rosella & Mike Ollar of Muskogee and Tracie Hughes of Heavener, OK; sons & daughters in law, Jason & Kimberly Graham, Jeff & Jessica Graham, Clifford Graham; sister in law, Elsie Marsh & husband Jim;  18  grand and 11 great grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
          Services will be 2pm, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Page Cemetery, Page, OK. 

Mary Ruth Roger


       Mary Ruth Roger, 78, of Pocola, OK passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Mary was born February 14, 1940 in Whitharral, TX to Thomas Edgar & Olivia See (Scarborough) Asbill.  She was a member of  Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter & son in law, Jacqueline & Keith King; brothers Aubry & Ray Asbill.

         Survivors include her husband, Tommy; son & daughter in law, Tommy  Glenn & Jennifer Roger; grandchildren, Keith Thomas King & Corie of OKC, Jaedyn, Kallyn, Hayden, & Ayren King, Jon Woods & Amelia Roger all of Pocola, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

             Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola, OK with CL Thomas & Bobby Roger officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK.  Pallbearers will be Jon Woods, Ayren King, Keith Thomas King, Sandy Asbill, Hayden King, Vernon Asbill, Jack Asbill & Eric Carlton. 

            The family will be at the funeral home in Pocola on Monday evening from 5-7 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
