James Edward Daugherty



James Edward Daugherty, 78, of Poteau, OK passed away  Monday, November 28, 2016 in Poteau.  James was born February 24, 1938 in Milton, OK to James "Buck" C.  & Nova Jewel (Sutton) Daugherty.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Doreen Marie Daugherty & sister, Thelma McAmis.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sandra Graboski Daugherty; sons & daughters in law,  Timothy & Lora Daugherty, Jason C. Daugherty of Poteau, James &  Robbie Daugherty of  Panama, Ed Daugherty of Shady Point;  grandchildren, Loralee & Bryce Hamman, Kathy Akins, Justin Akins, David & Tabbatha Eggleston, Desiray & Beau Moore of Poteau, David & Leslie Daugherty of Tulsa, Sheryl & Eric VanDever of Corn, OK, Nichole & Joe Bunch of Poteau, Cheyenne Daugherty of Lake Port, CA, Jacob Daugherty of Elk Grove, CA, Taylor Sanders & Anthony J. McCormick of Poteau, OK;  great grandchildren, Laura Dawn Hamman, Curtis Hamman, Kelsey Akins, Jaxon Akins, Peyton Eggleston, Parker Eggleston, Kinley Akins, Ainslee Moore, Huck Eggleston, Laityn Bunch, Josephine Daugherty, Parker & Anna VanDever, Lilly Adams, Kaileia Boudinot; 1 great great grandchild, Camdyn Akins; sister Carol Johnson of Poteau, sister in law, Joni (Bobby) Rea of NC;    other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at Evans Chapel, Poteau, OK.  Burial will follow in Shady Point Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be  James David Daugherty, David Lee Eggleston, Eric VanDever, Brice Hamman, Beau Moore. The family extends a special thank you to home health nurses, Robin & Carla & Mercy Hospice, Leanne & Bonnie.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 pm  on Wednesday evening to visit with relatives & friends.

Dana Jepson



          Dana Teresa Jepson, 62, of Poteau, OK passed from this world  November 27, 2016.  She was a homemaker & beloved wife.  She was preceded in death by her mother Francis Cramer.
             She is survived by her husband, Dale of the home; father, Benjamin Raiche of McAllen, TX; brother Phillip Raiche of St. Paul, MN; sisters, Lisa Ebert of Scottsdale, AZ & Jennifer Benevides of Phoenix, AZ; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews as well as many, many friends.
            She is gone, but will never be forgotten.  Her 6 year battle with cancer was one of courage & determination. 
               There will be no services, donations to help cover medical expenses can be sent to "Dale & Dana" 200 Franzini Drive, Poteau, OK 74953.

Margaret Free



Margaret Ella Herrington Free, 89, of Fanshawe, OK passed away Friday, November 25, 2016  in Fanshawe.  Margaret was born December 30, 1926 in Fanshawe, OK  to Walter Lee & Lillian Ella (Stickney) Herrington.  She worked as a homemaker, cook, nurse's aide and at the sewing factory.  Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, George Harris;  her Mom and Papa; 1 son, Sonny Harris, brother, Lee Herrington; sister, Lorene Hudlow.  She was a lifelong member of the Fanshawe Community of Christ.



Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Ann & Gene Savage of Red Oak, OK, Debbie & Cotton Cantrell of Wilburton, OK; grandchildren, Rena Adams, Keith & Julia Savage of Poteau, Jerry Cantrell Jr, Beth Cantrell and Becky Cantrell all of Wilburton; 7 great grandchildren, Phylicia Adams of Hackett, AR, Katlyn Adams of Bokoshe, OK, Amber (Cheyenne) Adams of Cameron, OK, Jess Cantrell, Megan Cantrell, Savanna Cantrell and Taelyn Cantrell, Madison Savage of Wilburton, OK; 5 great great grandchildren, Kadence Cooper, Brody Cooper, Mia Noble, Railyn McAlpin, Kimber Mean; sister, Bertha Crowder of Red Oak; numerous nieces & nephews; many who claim her as their mother & other loved ones.



Services will be 2 pm, Monday, November 28, 2016 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK  with Sally McGowen & Scott Martin officiating.  Interment will follow in Fanshawe Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Gene Savage, Jerry Cantrell Jr, Keith Savage, Bill Osborn, Lee Harris, Jesse Cantrell.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Cantrell Sr., Randy Newby and Bill Dutton. 

Calvin C. Billy Sr.





Calvin Coleman Billy Sr., 80, of Panama, OK passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Panama.  Calvin was born October 9, 1936 in Poteau to Calvin Simon & Louise Genetta (Kellogg) Billy.  He was a veteran of the US Army.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Eva Sweat.

Survivors include  his Sons, Calvin Coleman Billy Jr. of Tulsa, OK, Terry Billy of Panama, OK, Leon Billy of Wister, OK;  daughters, Marcie Adkisson of OKC, OK, Heather Woodall of Wister, OK; grandchildren, Whitney Billy of Wister, OK, Lena Myers of Sand Springs, OK, Ashley Sanchez of Tulsa, OK, Stephany Keck of Denver, CO,  Bethany Peattie of Maryland, Adam Billy of Moore, OK, Mitchell Billy of OKC, Daniel Bankhead of Moore, OK, Jason Shirazi of OKC; brothers, Herman Leon Billy of Howe, OK, Lowell Wayne Billy of Cameron, OK; sisters, Avo Dehart of Colorado Springs, CO, Celia Hicks of  Mounds, OK, Dovie Horton of Claremore, OK, Joyce Horne of Huber Heights, OH, Violet Fortner of Tulsa, OK,  Deborah Erdmann of  Lucerne, CA; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.
