Charlie Rose Sartor



Charlie  Rose Sartor, infant daughter of Joseph Daniel & Liliana (Elizondo) Sartor went to the arms of Jesus on Thursday, December 7, 2017. 

Survivors include her parents, Joseph & Liliana; grandparents, Cassie & Jack Sartor of Shady Point, OK Diana Elizondo of Poteau, OK; great grandmother, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Irwin of Shady Point, OK; uncles, Fernando Elizondo of Poteau, Jacob Smith of Shady Point, Aunts, Johana Ruiz, Vanessa Elizondo of Poteau, and Audrey Sartor; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Father Jim Caldwell officiating.   Interment will follow in Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK.

Pete King



Pete Weldon King, 82, of Pocola, OK passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Pete was born November 4, 1934 in Murry Spur, OK  to J.M. & Bell (Morris) King.  He attended Harvest Time Tabernacle.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; brothers, Rayford, Howard, Leslie & Bill King.



Survivors include 3 sons, Kelvin & Delana King of Lavaca, AR, Dean King of Barling, AR,  Don & Stacey King of Pocola, OK; 5 grandchildren, Ryan King of Lavaca, Brittany Burks of Bentonville, Garrett King of Boliver, MO, April Parker of Ft. Smith, AR, Kyle King of Pocola, OK; 6 great grandchildren, Rowan & Baron King, Bella Dillman,  Korbin Burks, Logan & Blake Parker; sisters, Faye Grizzle of Ft. Smith, AR, Ila Cole and Reba Mize of Pocola, OK, Velma & Charles Flynn of Owasso, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 10 am, Friday, December 8, 2017 graveside at Macedonia Cemetery, Pocola, OK with Gary Wayne Willett officiating.    The family will be at the funeral home in Pocola on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Patricia Ann Hurlocker



Patricia Ann Hurlocker, 76, of Howe, OK passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 in Poteau.  Patricia was born April 7, 1941 in Holly Creek, OK to John P. & Agnes (McClesky) Stewart.  She was a retired bank officer.  Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Edward Stewart.



Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Dick Hurlocker of the home; sons & daughters in law, Richard & JoAnn Hurlocker of Billings, MT, David & Teresa Hurlocker of Emporia, KS; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Dora DiCarlo of Montgomery, TX, Martha Shaver of New Waverly, TX, Johnice Pace of Gilmer, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Richard Hurlocker, David  Hurlocker & Gary Vancil officiating. 



The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Barbara Matthews



Barbara Jean Matthews,80, of Wister, OK passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Heavener, OK. Barbara was born June 19, 1937 in Sunset, AR to Claude Edward & Dollie (Shepherd) Malone.  She was a waitress.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 37 years, Rayford  Matthews; daughter, Michelle; son, David; grandson, Nicholas Newman; 1 sister & 1 brother.

Survivors include her daughter Karen & Mark Newman of Wister, OK; 3 sons, James & Mandy Matthews of Sacramento, CA, Timothy Matthews of Wister, OK & Kenneth Matthews of Riverbank, CA; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Memorial services will be held 1 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Heavener Church of the Nazarene (300 East Ave. B) with Bros. John Turner & Allen Malone officiating.  Interment will be at a later date at Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton, MS with Bishop Dwayne Eady officiating.

Bill Raney



Bill Raney, 89, of Arlington, TX passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Arlington.  Bill was born September 8, 1928 in Poteau, OK to William Ed and Ava Lou Raney.  He was a veteran of the US Army. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother John Raney.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Cleora Raney; 2 Sons,  Ronald Raney and wife Susan of Vancouver, WA, Mark Raney and wife Sue of Arvada, CO.; 2 Daughters,  Linda Huebner and husband Michael of Irving, TX, and Carolyn Raney of Arlington, TX; 9 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandsons;  numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Monday, December 4, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Poteau with Gentry Hill and Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ron Raney, Mark Raney, Gregory Chavez, Michael Huebner, Mike Raney, Mike Lovett, Ed Abernathy & Marshall Brence.
Family will visit with friends Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 4-6pm at the funeral home.
