Emma Lee Johnson

Emma Lee Johnson, 78, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away  Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Edmond, OK.  Emma was born January 23, 1939 in Poteau, OK to Leonard & Levada (Clark) Gray.  She was a in real estate broker.   Emma was a 1957 graduate of Poteau High School.

Survivors include her 3 sons, Michael Johnson of OKC, Brad & Kelly Johnson of Poteau, OK; 8 grandchildren, Amelia Ann Johnson of Yukon, OK, Chad Johnson of OKC, Tara Johnson of Yukon, Bobby Johnson of Bristow, OK, Jacob Johnson of Poteau, OK, Emma Johnson of  Spiro, OK, Kelly "Tiger" Johnson of Poteau, OK, Barbara Johnson of Ada, OK; 13 Great Grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 11 am, October 21, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.

The family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Derral Fulks

      Derral Gene Fulks, 75, of Purcell, OK passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Purcell.  Derral was born April 4, 1942 in Summerfield, OK to John Henry & Ellen (Smith) Fulks, the 8th of 10 children.  Derral was a graduate of LeFlore High School.  He was a gifted basketball player once scoring 62 points in a high school game.  He had little tolerance for players missing free throws, especially professionals.

      Derral served our country as a bridge specialist in the US Army's 25th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War.  After returning from the war, he married Martha Editha (Brown) Fulks on June 3, 1967 and they made their home in Edmond, OK until 1981 when they moved with their son to Cashion, OK.  They lived in Cashion for almost 30 years where Derral was a game day fixture at the football field and the gym.

      Derral worked for Humpty and then Fleming Foods for 34 years.  He loved his family and his friends.  He took great pride in watching his granddaughter play softball.  When he wasn't watching her, he could be found watching and discussing most any sport, but especially OU and the Thunder.  Derral was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters & 2 brothers. 

      He is survived by his wife, Editha of the home; son and daughter in law, Vince & Kimberly Fulks of Purcell; granddaughter, Cheyenne Fulks of Norman; sister & brother in law, Edith and Calvin Nelson of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Diann Chambers of Annacoco, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and many friends.

      Services will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Summerfield Cemetery Pavilion with Tracy Lloyd officiating..

The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Bo Baxter

George Ray "Bo" Baxter, 81, of Pocola, OK passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Pocola. George was born October 10, 1935 in Spiro, OK to George & Lucille (Cowan) Baxter. He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Odessa, of the home; 3 daughters, Pamela Jacobs of Talihina, OK, Kelly Reano of Bear Hollow, AR, & Marilyn Johnson of Fort Smith, AR; 1 son, Curtis Baxter of Pocola, OK; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives,  loved ones and friends.

Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Evans Memorial Chapel in Pocola, OK. Interment will follow in Steep Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jacobs, Craig Schleiff, Kevin Reano, Robert Johnson, Andrew Nichols, Tom Hicks, & Kendall Riggs.

The family will be at the Pocola Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Johnnie Faye Perkins

Johnnie Faye Perkins, 90, of  Fanshawe, OK passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 in Heavener, OK.    

Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; daughter & son in law, Linda & Stanley Jones of Wister, OK; son, Clyde Perkins of Florida; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 10 am, Thursday, October 12, 2017 graveside at Fanshawe Cemetery Pavilion, Fanshawe, OK with Sally McGowen officiating.
