Freddie Arvil Woodral, 60, of Waldron, AR passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Waldron, AR. Freddie was born January 20, 1952 in Lake Port, CA to Fred & Doyce (Ollar) Woodral. He worked for the forestry service for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Linda Jo Woodral; nephew, Gary “Bubba” Gibson. Survivors include his wife, Brenda of the home; sons, Freddie A. Jr. & Julie Woodral of Waldron, AR, Doyel W. Curtis Harold Lewis, 78, of Heavener, OK passed away March 29, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. Curtis was born September 3, 1933 in Petros (Hodgen), OK to Raymond Curtis & Lillie Belle (Kelley) Lewis. Curtis worked in the coal mines. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Lewis; sister, Betty Allen; nephew, Joey D. Byrd. Harriet Fallon Kearns Coleman

Harriet Fallon Kearns Coleman, 95, of Summerfield, OK passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 in Grand Rapids, MI. Harriet was born February 11, 1916 in Francis, OK to James Hiram & Bessie Idell (Fallon) Kearns; the youngest of her sisters, Nellie Idell, Grace Elizabeth, & Ruth Eleanor, all deceased. Harriet graduated from East Central State University in Ada, OK in 1937, then from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK in 1939. She taught school in Ada for four years, LeFlore, OK for eleven years & Talihina, OK for 15 years. She was married for 37 years to Hershal Augusta Coleman, who died in 1984. Harriet volunteered at 9 years old as a babysitter. As an adult, she volunteered as a Future Homemakers of America Leader, at Talimena Drive Information Center, Poteau Hospital Auxiliary, Kerr Center, Carl Albert Community College, and LeFlore Elementary School. She was a member of the Campfire Girls of America as a child. She was a member of Busy Bees Quilting Club for 30 years, Tri-Sigma Sorority for 70 years, and the Methodist Church for all of her life. Harriet tickled family members and innumerable friends with her spunk, wit, generosity, and enthralling stories. She is survived by her sons, Charles of Norman, OK, Richard (Cindy) of Grand Rapids, MI; niece, Ellen Lee of Tulsa, OK and grandchildren, Iris and Adam of Grand Rapids, MI. Trixie M. Orendorff, 99, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. Trixie was born May 23, 1912 in Hanson, OK to Grover & Eva (Boothe) Lessley. She was a sales clerk. She & O.M Orendorff were married February 27, 1973. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1982. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Gailya Lea Miller & granddaughter, Karen. Frank Gutierrez

Edmund Frank Gutierrez, a World War II Veteran, age 96, formerly of Oklahoma City, OK. passed away peacefully on March 21, 2012 in Crystal, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Mildred Smedley) Gutierrez. Survivors include his daughter Delia (Gutierrez) Anderson, son in law Joseph Anderson of Plymouth, MN; grandchildren Marina, Nilan and Joseph Jr Anderson; several bother in laws and sister in laws; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many beloved friends. Frank started in the produce business in his early teens and continued until he took several years off to serve our country in WWII with the Army-Air Force. He returned from the war in 1945 and continued his produce business which grew to have locations called “Franks Tomato House” in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Houston. He ran the OKC location until 1979 and retired from produce to start a third career as a farmer where he grew peanuts and wheat. Along his journey from a fourteen year old on his own selling produce door to door all the way to owning his own business, Frank also obtained his private pilot license and truckers license and traveled extensively throughout the produce belt. Frank made many friends and influenced countless people in the ways of hard work and following your dreams. Grandpa Frank’s final six years were spent in Minnesota with Delia, Joe and his three grandkids. We all had many fond and tender moments with him and he made us laugh right up to the end. Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Evans Chapel of Memories, Evans-Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, OK.

Fred Allan Johnson, 74, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. Fred was born December 14, 1937 in Kaiser, AR to Linzy & Nolus (Ferguson) Johnson. He worked as a prison guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Sharon Stiles & Linda Stark. Ronnie was a U.S. Veteran, mechanic, chicken farmer and cattleman. He was a member of the Bokoshe Church of Christ. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Leta Jean Hollie; son & his wife, Kerry & Mary Hollie; daughter & her husband, Kathy & Dale Fout; grandchildren, Christina Hollie, Kerry G. Paul Wesley Watkins, 83 of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Poteau. Paul was born January 25, 1929 in Fanshawe, OK to Edward Roscoe & Cora Ellen (Salmon) Watkins. He was retired from working for the Department of Transportation of Oklahoma for 30 years where he served as LeFlore County Maintenance Superintendent. He was a member of the Community of Christ in Poteau. He was preceded in death by great grandson, Wesley; his parents; brothers, Harmon & Tom; sisters, Mildred Moore and infant sisters, Grace & Eileen. Paul was an avid Sooner fan, loved to travel, loved to read. He loved gardening, yard work, carpentry, country music and spending time with his daughters. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dorothy “Dot” Watkins of the home; 3 daughters & sons in law, Charlotte Stewart of Poteau, OK, Paula & Jim Alfred of Tulsa, OK, Sally & Brian Vincent of Poteau, OK; 7 grandchildren, Chad, Brooke, Sarah, Cori, Bailey, Sidney, & Emilie; 4 Great Grandchildren, China, Riley, Cassie & Gabrielle; great great grandchild, Camden; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
