Lois Robison, 84 of Poteau, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2010 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Lois was born July 27, 1925 in Mena, Arkansas to Naler & Milo (Perry) Chamblin. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Poteau, a resident of Poteau for 63 years, a 50 year member of Beta Sigma Phi and was the bookkeeper for FL Holton’s stores for many years until her retirement. Her husband, Pat Robison; her son, Pat Robison Jr, a brother Errol Chamblin, a sister, Nalene Williams and her parents precede her in death.
Lois is survived by 2 daughters & sons in law, Marilyn & Andrew Chanos of Parker, CO & Mickie & Steve Whitson of Greenwood, AR; 5 grandchildren, Pat & wife Becky Robison III of Indian Trail, NC; Tye Robison of Dallas, TX; Jason & wife Jessica Chanos of Woodland Hills, CA, Suzanne Whitson & Brian George of Greenwood, AR; and Todd & wife Carrie Chanos of Centennial, CO; 8 great grandchildren, Breanna George, Jessica George, Jamie Robison, Will Robison, Peter Robison, Clinton Chanos, Anderson Chanos, & Jason Chanos Jr.; 2 brothers, Floyd Chamblin & Leon Chamblin both of Stockton, CA; numerous other relatives & loved ones and many beloved friends.
Funeral services for Lois were held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 17, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Poteau, OK with the Reverend Michael Franklin & the Reverend Greg Tener officiating. Interment followed the services at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, OK with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, OK. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
