Matthew Colton Billy



Matthew Colton Billy, 18, of  Wister, OK went to be with his Lord & Savior on  Sunday, February 25, 2018, in the loving arms of his family at home.  Matthew was born April 13, 1999, in Ft. Smith, AR to Simon  & Deborah Billy. Matthew was  a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Wister where he was baptized.    He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, J.T. & Elsie Box, Elton Lee & Lizzie Carney; paternal great grandparents, Cecil & Violet Perkins, William & Rhinna Billy. 



Survivors include his parents; sisters, Brittany Rice & husband, Shannon of Wister, OK & Kayla Billy of Poteau, OK; maternal grandparents, Athel & Doris Box of Fanshawe, OK; paternal grandparents, Edmond & Addie Billy of Fanshawe, OK; aunts & uncles, Sheila & Ron Steelman, Shannon,  Shane, Glenn, David, Lance, Rhonda, Connie, Tracy, Glenda; nephews & nieces, Shyla, Andrew, Cason, Carter, Jaxon, Jaycee, Elyzabeth, Paislee; numerous relatives,  loved ones and friends.



A Celebration of  Matthew's life will be held at  2 pm, Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church, Wister, OK, with Rev. Clyde Steelman officiating.   Interment will follow in Fanshawe Cemetery, Fanshawe, OK.  Pallbearers will be Alan Ware, Scott Phillips, Will Lathrop, Seth Hill, Brandon Moore, Ty Ragan.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dewey Shoup, Jim Horne, J.D. Delap, Steve Walden, Shannon Rice, Ron Steelman.



The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-7:30 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

The family requests that Gideon Bibles be sent rather than in flowers.

Johnny Noseff



Johnny Mac Noseff, 73, of Poteau, OK, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at his home.  Johnny was born December 28, 1944, in Wister, OK to Demetrius & Juanema  (Curtis) Noseff.  He was a veteran of the US Army.  Johnny drove a truck working in the oil field.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Demetrius Noseff and Juanema Wiser; as well as brothers, Jerry & George.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Samantha;  daughters, Michelle & Cori; sons, Michael & Dewayne; stepson, Jerry Sommers & his children, Jake, Jackson & Jerra; stepdaughter, Kim Davison & her children, Ali, Kody, Kyle & Kayce; sister, Donna Noseff; brother, David Noseff; niece, Kim Fitzwilliam, husband Mikey & their children, Michael, Tyler, Tripp, Kaydee; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Private family services will be held.

Helen Faye Morris



 Helen Faye Morris, 70, of Wister, OK passed away  Monday, February 19, 2018, in Tulsa, OK.  Helen was born June 30, 1947 in LeFlore, OK to Earl A. & Minnie Mae (Oliver) Ross.  Helen was a devoted and loving wife and mother.  She was very proud of her family and loved being "Granny" to any & everyone.  She loved  holiday and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.  She truly enjoyed her daycare and all the children that came and went.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  Helen was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffery; nephew, Allen Newby; brother in law Euell Newby; father & mother in law, Stubb & Lois Morris.



Survivors include her husband, Terry Morris of the home; sons & daughter in law, Steven Morris, Philip & Kylee Morris of Wister, OK; special daughter, Tara Ollie of Douglas, WY; grandchildren, Lacey & Wes Callahan of Hartford, AR, Kally Morris and Mark Brand of Wister, Katelen Morgan of  Durant, OK; Stefanie Baxter & Van Hader, Steven & Tara Morris, Trenton Morris & Chloe Miller all of Poteau, Jeffery, Jordan, Judd, Frankie Morris & Rylan Tobey of Wister;   great grandchildren, Ty Slone, Colt & Chace Callahan, Millie Brand, Kyler & Kaiden Morris, Bladen  & Becklynn Morris & Teren Baxter; sisters & brother in law, Vela Newby of Ft. Smith, AR, Leta & JC Hamner; special friends, Sandy & Dean Qualls; numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.



Services will be 10 am, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister, OK with Lynn Bullard & Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will be a Maxey Cemetery, Wister.  Pallbearers will be Jeffery Morris, Trenton Morris, Steven Morris Jr., Bladen Morris, Matthew Haynes, Gary Ollie.



The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Gary Taylor



Gary Keith Taylor, 71, of Shady Point, OK passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 in Fayetteville, AR.  Gary was born December 20, 1946, in Poteau, OK to Willard Keith & Helen Ione (Branson) Taylor.  He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Vietnam.  He received the rank of Specialist E-6.  Gary was awarded the Purple Heart, Four-Leaf Clover, Silver Star, & more to be listed later.       He was preceded in death by his parents & brother in law, Robert Farmer.



Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Abigail; sons, Lundy Taylor & wife Cindy of Stilwell, OK, Dusty Taylor & wife Tonya of Tampa, FL; daughters, Elizabeth Forman & husband Bryan of Meeker, OK, Sarah Scarberry & husband Vernon, Jr. of Heavener, OK; 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Farmer of Tulsa, OK; uncle, Bob Branson of Poteau, OK; Aunt, Oleta Taylor of Alma, AR; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 2 pm, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Victory Worship Center, Spiro, OK with Rev. Bryan Fouts officiating.  Interment will follow in Shady Point Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lundy Taylor, Dusty Taylor, David McFarland, Bryan Forman, Vernon Scarberry, Daniel Taylor.   Honorary Pallbearers will be Tex Williamson, Roger Kite, Billy Hammers, Bob Branson, Bobby Marchant, Harry Killion, Mike Doyle & Dennis Doyle.

Kenneth Cremeans



Kenneth Lee Cremeans, 50 of  Poteau, OK passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 in Poteau.  Kenneth was born May 14, 1967, in Poteau to Alvin & Mary Sue (Nichols) Cremeans, who preceded him in death.  His mother was a homemaker and his father was a mechanic & truck driver.  Kenneth enjoyed working with his hands, including on cars, around the house, and at Exide Technologies; where he worked for 18 years.



His faith was a big part of his life.  He was an active member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Poteau, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him listening to sermons of various preachers, including Charles Stanley and his own pastor, Leroy Billy.  His interests also included hunting on the weekends, listening to music and reading the Bible.  His  life and influence will be remembered by the many friends and coworkers that valued him.



Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Lisa; sons, Kenneth, Christopher & Jeremy Cremeans all of Poteau; brother, Robert Cremeans; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Rev. LeRoy Billy officiating.  Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. 



The family will be at the funeral home on  Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
