Rebecca Elaine Harwell, 53, of Broken Arrow, OK, formerly of Poteau, OK passed away on Thursday November 27, 2008 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rebecca was born on September 6, 1955 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Jack & Mayme (Taff) Craig. She was a 1973 graduate of Poteau High School and had been a Homemaker for 34 years. Her parents preceded her in death.
Rebecca is survived by her beloved husband Joe Harwell of the home; 2 sons & daughter in law, Joseph & Amber Harwell of Tulsa, OK & Jason Harwell of Broken Arrow, OK; 2 daughters & son in law, Heather & Jason Speaks of Tulsa, OK & Kim Hall of Broken Arrow, OK; 5 grandchildren, Jordyn Harwell, Sable Hall, Breandra Hall, Jarrad Speaks, Bridget Harwell, & Chloe Harwell (due January 12, 2009); 5 sisters Gwendolyn Reynolds of Coffeyville, KS, Patricia Ballard & Sharon Hickman, both of Poteau, OK, Susie Hutton of Richland, MO, & Jackie Slone of Poteau, OK; 2 brothers, Bob Craig & Jim Craig, both of Poteau, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones; and many beloved friends.
Funeral services for Rebecca were held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 1, 2008 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, OK with the Reverend Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Interment followed the services in Oakland Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, OK. Pallbearers were Joseph Harwell, Jason Harwell, Bob Craig, Chad Craig, Jim Craig, Steve Hickman, Jeff Mode, Brandon Slone, & Jason Speaks.
