H.G. Armstrong, 76, of Talihina, OK passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 in Talihina, OK. “H” was born in Meadowview, OK on August 28, 1932 to Richard & Beulah (Perry) Armstrong. He was a heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Violet McNutt, Sybil McKosky, & Gladys Scoles; brother, Mack Armstrong; son, Kenneth Armstrong; and daughter, Jaylene Armstrong.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Wanda Armstrong of the home; son & daughter in law, William & Gerri Armstrong of Hot Springs, AR; daughter, Jolene Armstrong of Warner, OK; grandson, Alexander Armstrong of Warner, OK; sister, Alpha Westerdahl of Federal Way, WA; brothers & sisters in law, Robert & Faye Armstrong, Larry & Judy Armstrong of Talihina, OK, Johnny & Ruby Armstrong of Eufaula, OK, Leonard Armstrong of Tulsa, OK, Jack & Patti Armstrong of Broken Arrow, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services were held 2 pm, Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Springhill Baptist Church in Monroe, OK with the Rev. Cecil Holcomb & Rev. Brian Vandever officiating. Burial followed in Springhill Cemetery, Monroe, OK. Pallbearers were Clay Armstrong, Tony Armstrong, Mack Armstrong, Bobby Shirley, Warren Shirley & Tommy McNutt.
