Paige Breanne Underwood, 16, of Shady Point, OK passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 in Calhoun, OK as a result of an auto accident. Paige was born October 3, 1995 in Tupelo, MS to Jerry Jr. & Melissa K. (Bradley) Underwood. She was a student at Poteau High School; a National Honor Society Student, Secretary of the FFA, on the varsity Soccer Team. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmothers, Brenda Underwood and Harriett June Holcomb.
Survivors include her parents, Melissa & Kevin Holcomb of Shady Point, OK, Jerry Underwood Jr. of Mantachie, MS; sisters, Ashley Guin & fiancé, Bret Newman of Spiro, OK, Harlee Underwood of Mantachie, MS; maternal grandparents, David & Dianne Reese of Fulton, MS, H.C. & Betty Bradley of Marietta, MS; paternal grandfather, Jerry Underwood Sr. of Mantachie, MS, Cecil & Vera Holcomb of Talihina, OK; paternal great grandmother, Flora King of Talihina, OK; niece, Emma Kathryn Newman of Spiro, OK; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Bob Lee Kidd Civic Center, Poteau, OK. The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
A scholarship fund in Paige’s name will be established at Arvest Bank.

On the behalf of Paige, I promise to appear before the LeFlore County Commissioners to request that guard rails be installed on the hill to possibly prevent another tragedy that has affected your family.
