Herbert Oscar Upchurch Jr., 61 of Poteau, OK passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 in Poteau. Herbert was born February 23, 1951 in Fort Smith, AR to Herbert Sr. & Maudie (Blair) Upchurch. Herbert served in the National Guard and was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jimmy & Doyle. Survivors include his sisters, Barbara Kendall of Eufaula, OK, Niela Upchurch of Pocola, OK, Louise Pierce of Antlers, OK, Loretta Price of Poteau, OK; brothers, Alfred Upchurch of Heavener, OK, Thomas Upchurch of Rock Island, OK, John Upchurch of Eufaula, OK; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends. Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 graveside, Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK with Rev. Eddie Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Tex Williamson, Mike Hand, Tommy Upchurch, Elmer Tankersley, Raymond Tankersley, Chaz Ward, Jim Bollinger, Steven Jones.
