Lucille E. Midgley, 86, of Poteau, OK went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Poteau. Lucille was born March 7, 1926 in Stuart, OK to James & Pauline (Carpenter) Casey. She was a homemaker. Lucille was a member of the Church of God 7th Day in Wister, OK. She was a woman of God. Lucille was married to Harrell Midgley on October 4, 1945 in Stockton, CA; his devoted wife for 66 years. She was a licensed back seat driver. Lucille was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lucille was preceded in death by her brothers, Garland, Tom, James & Fred Casey.
Survivors include her husband, Harrell of the home; sons & daughters in law, Scotty Midgley, Vernon & Ruby Midgley of Poteau, Marshall & Charlotte Midgley of Stockton, CA; grandchildren, Vernon & Kathleen Midgley, Tonya & Kenneth Parks, Marcy & Jason Head, Lorie & Steve Rutledge, Matt & Lisa Sanders, Kenny & Olivia Midgley, Mitch & Sondra Sampson, Tasha & Kyle Callahan, Kristin & Kyle Maslakow; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Midgley of Wister, OK; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 10 am, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Wister Church of God 7th Day with Rev. Lamar Ford & Rev. Jack Covey officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Pallbearers will be Fred, Kenny, Vernon Jr., Leon, George, Lance, Vernon, Scotty, Marshall & Cliff Midgley.
The family will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4-6 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
