Edna Barnes, 73, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Fort Smith, AR. Edna was born in Poteau on October 1, 1936. She was a caregiver/homemaker. Survivors include her granddaughter, Misty Ballard of Poteau, OK; grandson, Aaron Smith of Fort Smith, AR; great grandchildren, August Raelene House & Layton Christian Smith; sister, Eva Maye Zahner; brothers, Pete Irvin and Charles Irvin; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services were held 10 am Monday at Evans Chapel of Memories with Rev. Roger Mattox officiating. Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Pallbearers were Tim Gullick, Mike Ballard, BJ Barnes, Jeff Pivison, Marion Dixon and Alonso Jiminez. Honorary pallbearer was Tony Stacy.
