Carl Jackson Jr., 82, of Pocola, OK passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 in Pocola. Carl was born in Monroe County, MS on February 6, 1928 to Carl & Necie (Riding) Jackson. He served in the US Navy for over 30 years; and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Jane Jackson of the home; 2 sons & daughters in law, John & Shirley Jackson and Edward & Virginia Jackson all of Pocola, OK; grandchildren, April Jarnigan & husband Kyle of Pocola, OK, Easton Jackson of Pocola, OK; 2 great grandchildren, Lily & Eva Jarnigan; sisters, Brenda Cole of Tupelo, MS & Peggy Smith of Aberdeen, MS; brother & sister in law, Floyd & Louise Jackson; 4 nieces, Cindy Wilson, Cheryl Bradford, Tresa Been & Julia Ann Smith, all of Pocola; nephew, Allan Jackson & family of Pocola, OK; sister in law, Lorene Jackson of Pocola, OK; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends. Services were held 10 am, Wednesday, March 31, 2010 graveside at Fort Smith National Cemetery, Ft. Smith, AR with Troy Conrad officiating. Pallbearers were Kyle Jarnagin, Phillip Conrad, Dustin Nena, Jeff Smith, Allan Jackson, & Ronnie Smith.
