Earl G. "Skip" Mayer

Earl G. “Skip” Mayer, 59, of Poteau, OK passed away on March 3, 2010 in Talihina, Oklahoma. Skip was born on December 30, 1950 in New Orleans, LA to Roy & Carmelite (Zundel) Dyer. Skip was a decorated Vietnam veteran & a press operator for Kenco Plastics until his retirement. He was of the Catholic faith. Skip loved playing the guitar and singing. Skip is survived by his wife, Gail Mayer of the home; his parents, Roy & Carmelite Dyer of Houston, TX; 2 brothers & sisters in law, Craig & Keely Dyer of Franklin, LA & Fred & Diane Dyer of Lake Charles, LA; 4 sisters & brothers inlaw, Kim & Brian Jayroe of Montgomery, TX, Caroline & Dave Morgan of Spring, TX; Regina & Dill Seidle & Theresa & Kevin Couch all of Cypress, TX; brothers in law & their wives Sam & Susie McBride of Carlsbad, NM; Mackey & Billie McBride of Poteau, OK.Tim & Twyla McBride of Hackett, AR; sisters in law & their husbands, Pat & Doyle Vinson of Noble, OK; Shirley & Tom Pickle of Poteau, OK; Sammie & Doyle Thompson of Panama, OK; &Becky Maxell of Poteau, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones; and many beloved friends. Memorial services for Skip were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Evans Chapel of Memories with the Reverend Jimmy D. Cook officiating.
