Cheryl Lynn Perkins, 65, passed away January 20, 2022 in her home. She was born July 7, 1956 to Charles William & Drucille (Vance) Morton in Ft. Smith, AR. Cheryl loved her family and enjoyed meeting and talking to people. Through the years she coached softball teams, was a Girl Scout leader for over two decades and a Cub Scout leader for many years. Cheryl was creatives in arts and crafts, as she led classes in pottery and scrapbooking at the Reynolds Cancer Support House for many years. She loved making jewelry and doing research for genealogy. During her battle with cancer, she found another love, her Teal Sisters of the River Valley Ovarian Cancer Alliance and her Green Angel Sisters. Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence Vance & Eunice Kelley, Nelson & Ruth Crockett Morton, her father, Charles Morton and one brother, Weslie Morton.
She
is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jesse Perkins; 2 daughters, Angela
Perkins and Cristina Annunziato of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Tasha Inks & Michael
Inks of Ft. Smith, AR and one son, Scott Perkins of Pocola, OK; her mother,
Drucille Morton of Ft. Smith, AR; and one granddaughter, the light of her life,
Sophia Brown of Pocola, OK; brothers, Les & Pam Morton of LIberty, OK, Owen & Patti Morton of Tahlequah, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 11 am, Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Evans Memorial Chapel in Pocola with Wendy Lambkin officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home in Pocola.
