Richard Kish

       Richard Charles Kish, 74, of  Pocola, OK passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020  in Pocola.  Richard was born September 17, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to Lester & Gladys (Axner) Kish.  He was a veteran of the US Army.  Richard was a member & deacon at Southside Free Will Baptist Church, Ft. Smith, AR.  He worked as a meat cutter for Western Sizzlin’ for 40 years.  He and Shirley were married 52 years until she preceded him in death on Aug. 29, 2019.  He was also preceded by his parents.

          Survivors include his daughters & sons in law, Keri Kish Rathbun and Michael, Traci Kish Holland & Adam; grandchildren, Haden & Heaven Holland, Brinnon & Ethan Rathbun; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Community Bible Church, Ft. Smith, AR with Phillip Wiley officiating.  Burial will follow at Noon at Ft. Smith National Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Adam & Haden Holland, Brinnon, Ethan & Mike Rathbun, and Chris Cummings.

          The family will be at the funeral home in Pocola on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with friends and family.

 

 

Pat Essman

 

Patricia Louise Essman, 92, of LeFlore, OK passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in Poteau, OK. Pat was born September 27, 1928 in LeFlore to Willis & Leona (Mann) Knight.  She was a headstart teacher.  Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Johnny William Warren & Hershel Essman; brothers, Junior, Harold & Ron Knight.

          Survivors include her sons & daughters in law, Casey & Diana Warren, Michael Warren, Johnny & Julie Warren all of Wister, Haskell & Tammy Allison of Jenks, OK, Fred & Kim Allison of Poteau, OK; daughter, Jolene Martin of Pensacola, FL;15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren & 8 great great grandchildren; sisters, Imogene Solomon of Skiatook, OK & Norma Smith of Ft. Worth, TX; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at LeFlore Baptist Church with Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow at LeFlore Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mark, Bryan, Bradley, Steven, and Johnny Warren, Jeremy Allison, Dustin & Kyle Reddin.  Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel “Boo” Ingle, Anthony Borden, Shawn & Brent Billings.

          The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Billy Mashaney

        Billy LeRoy Mashaney, 56, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020.  Billy was born March 11, 1964 in Watonga, OK to Archie & Betty (Nelson) Mashaney.  He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Richard Nelson, Timothy Davis; grandparents, Henry & Alvessie Nelson; nephews, Jason Davidson & Richard Nelson Jr..

          Survivors include his daughters, Shawna & Shanelle Mashaney; 9 grandchildren; son, Corey Mashaney; brother, Charles Mashaney; sister, Victoria Garoutte all of Poteau, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Ulis E. Jones

  
    
Ulis Esther Jones, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed this life October 26, 2020. He was born November 10th,1944 to Jonathan David Jones and Leather Esther Norton Jones. 
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers Norton, Uzziel,  Jolly,  and Garland Jones. 

           He is survived by his wife Patti Smith Jones of  Pocola, Oklahoma; daughters  Denisa Boss (Anthony Thomas) of  Dallas Texas, Shannon  (Jack Williams),  Crystal Roberts (Michael Bounds) of  Paragould, AR;  son Mark Coleman  of Redwood City, California; grandsons Joseph Gregory (April Gregory) of Spiro, Oklahoma,   Ryan Bounds of Paragould, AR;  granddaughter  LynnLee Bounds Paragould, AR;  Honorary son Stevie Frost  of Crown Point, Indiana; brother Marlon Jones (Joy) of Ventura, California; brother and sister in law Eddie and Kathy Coleman of  Liberty Hill Texas. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. 

          From the time he was born he was a natural born survivor losing his mother in his birth. He was always self-motivated, leaving home as an early teen, he started his own contracting business which proved extremely successful and  spanned his entire  lifetime. From an early age, his life’s mission and desire was to share his love  and knowledge of his Heavenly Father. Though he was tough on the outside, his love for his family, friends and critters was unending.  

          Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home in Pocola, Oklahoma on October 31 from 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. Mr. Jones' interment will be, at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery, in Paragould, AR with graveside services on November 7th 2:00 p.m.

          Pallbearers are Jack Williams, Michael Bounds, Joseph Gregory, Russell Jones, Steve Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Jones and Anthony Thomas.

          In order to comply with CDC guidelines face masks are required and friends are asked to social distance. 

     The funeral home will be open from 9-5 Thursday thru Saturday. - Pocola, OK

Floyd Clement

Floyd Ray Clement, 83, of Wister, OK passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at his home.  Floyd was born August 9, 1937 in Alex, OK to Willie & Ola Ellen (Winters) Clement.  He was preceded in death by his wife Margie (7/20/2017) his parents; brothers, Clifford Clement; son, Glen Clement and two infant sisters.

          Survivors include his daughters & sons in law, Pat & Fred Nelson, Mary & Thad Martin; son & daughter in law, Ron & Sharolyn Clement; 12 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Herman Clement, Leonard Clement, Harold Clement & wife Cleeda; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Ellis Chapel Church, Wister with Gene Heflin & Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow at Wister City Cemetery.

Dawn Wolfe

         Dawn Wolfe, 45, of Ft. Smith, AR passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Ft. Smith.  Dawn was born January 28, 1975 in Bakersfield, CA.  Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Darrell Jackson.

          Survivors include her husband, William; daughter, Micah McGinnis  of Poteau, OK; sons, Faron Price & Christian Price of Ft. Smith; stepchildren, Jorden Wilson & Mariah Wolfe; brothers & sisters, Kim & Rodney Checkal of Bakersfield, CA, Patricia & Scott Goodwin of Duncan, SC, Daryl & Nancy Jackson of Wister, OK, Tanya & Chris Morgan of Mena, AR, Steve Jackson of Ft. Smith, AR, Scott & Bryanna Jackson of Booneville, AR, Jennifer & Matt Harris of Mena, AR; grandchildren, Boston Jackson, Kaden Wilson, Emma Wilson, Ellie Wolfe; mother, Betty Dodson & husband Fred of Poteau; aunt, Becky Green; step siblings, Ann & Robby Anderson, William Dodson, Destiny Dodson, Joshua Dodson all of Poteau;  numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Kenneth Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Shady Point Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Steve, Scott, Daryl, Chad & Jace Jackson, Norm Green, Chris Morgan, Faron & Christian Price, Ken Fariss.

          The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
