Charline "Linda" Killion


Charline “Linda” Killion, 67, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018, in Poteau.  Linda was born December 2, 1950, in Poteau, OK to Clyde L. & Ruby (Armstrong) Killion. She was preceded in death by brothers, “Blue” Shep & Herb Killion; sisters, Mildred & Bobby Joe Killion & Lou Burgess.
          Survivors include her son & daughter in law, Cody & Lisa Killion; grandchildren, Cole, Sarah, Ethan, Isabelle & Noah; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Linda was a loving mother to Cody for all of her days.  She loved fishing,  writing poetry, and drawing beautiful things.  Most of all she loved Jesus.  Linda was loved by so many even though at times she may not have realized it in her pain.  Momma entered into heaven on Thursday.  I will forever love you and miss your jokes and loving voice.  I love you  mamma…. “Cokie”.
Private services will be held at a later date.

DONALD ALLEN

     Donald Keith Allen passed away August 28, 2018 at the age of 90 in Tulsa, OK.  He was born September 4, 1927 to Daniel & Coletta (Durr) Allen in Minnewaukan, ND.  He was preceded in death by his parents;  his wife of  55 years, Mildred Kathleen Nichols Allen; his brothers Virgil & Eugene; his son Joseph Donald.

          He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Christy Allen Bennett and son in law Joe Bennett; grandson, Justin Allen Bennett and granddaughter, Brooke Bennett Peaker.  He has five great grandsons, Trey Peaker, Jace Bennett, James Peaker, Porter Bennett & Baker Bennett all of Tulsa.  He is also survived by his fiancĂ©  Leta Faye Wann.
          At the age of 15, Don joined the Navy and served in WWII in the Pacific Theatre.  He was honorably discharged.  He met and married the love of his life, Millie in Los Angeles, CA.  Don worked at the Holton Motor Company in Poteau before opening Don Allen’s Garage and then later Don Allen’s Machine Shop.  He was retired but loved working on motors and transmissions.  Don and Millie and all of their friends loved to dance.  They were a joy to watch in true ballroom style.  Don loved flying airplanes.  Don, Jim Mixon & Lawrence Dickerson were pilot friends in the 1960’s.  They built the second structure at the Poteau Airport and were in the skies as much as possible.
          Few people are lucky enough to have true love twice in their lives.  He and Leta cherished their time together.  They went on cruises and traveled extensively with the Carl Albert State College Senior Group until he suffered a stroke three years ago.  He moved to Tulsa in July to be closer to family.
          He was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  He also loved attending senior activities with Leta at First Baptist Church in Poteau.
          He was an outstanding man who believed that honesty and integrity were the most important virtues.  He was the most wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather in the world.  He will be truly missed. 
          In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Autism Speaks (act.autismspeaks.org) or Susan B. Komen For the Cure.
          Services will be 10 am, Monday, September 3, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Poteau with Father Jim Caldwell officiating.  The Rosary will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau.
          Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.

Jo Ella Clark


            Jo Ella Clark, 82, of Panama, OK passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 in Spiro, OK.  Jo Ella was born March 10, 1936, in Ink, AR to Waymon & Beatrice (Coleman) Wood.  She was preceded in death by her parents &  brother, Bobby Wood.
          Survivors include her husband Odell of the home; daughter, Teri & Scott Wyatt of Edmond, OK; sons, Larry & Alma Clark of Spiro, OK, Ronny & Kathey Clark of Castle Rock, CO; sister, Sue & Bill Marler;  brother, James & Jan Wood of Spiro, OK;  5 grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Sara, Daniel and Mia; 4 great grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
          Services will be 10 am, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow at Milton Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Pat Garner, O’Reilly Hettinger, Roger Clark, Ken Sisco, Ryan Clark, Damon Clark, Daniel Wyatt, Trey Garner, Jamey Wood.
          The family will be at the funeral  home from 6-8 pm on Thursday, August 30, 2018  to visit with relatives & friends

Rebecca Jean Mills


       Rebecca Jean Mills, 60, of Bokoshe, OK passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in Fort Smith, AR.  Rebecca was born June 8, 1958 in Poteau, OK.  She was a former employee of Rheem in Ft. Smith.  Rebecca was of the Pentecostal faith.
            She is survived by her companion, Marty Hale; three daughters, Sondra Langston of Cameron, OK, Becky Mills of Poteau, OK  and Stacia Harmon of Panama, OK; her mother, Shirley Reynolds of Panama; three sisters, Theresa Bailey and Raylene Didway both of Panama, Tina Patton of Pocola; three brothers, David Carson of Panama, Carlos Carson of Poteau & Ray Reynolds of DeQueen, AR; fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
          Memorial services will be 11 am, Monday, August 27, 2018 at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Panama, OK.

Baby Joseph Sartor


Joseph Daniel Sartor, infant son of Joseph Daniel & Liliana (Elizondo) Sartor went to the arms of Jesus on Monday, August 20, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Charlie Rose Sartor.



Survivors include his parents, Joseph & Liliana; grandparents, Cassie & Jack Sartor of Shady Point, OK,  Diana Elizondo of Poteau, OK; great grandmother, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Irwin of Shady Point, OK; uncles, Fernando Elizondo of Poteau, Jacob Smith of Shady Point, Aunts, Johana Ruiz, Vanessa Elizondo of Poteau, Audrey Sartor & Christa Cox;   other relatives & loved ones.



Services will be 2 pm, Friday, August  24, 2018, graveside at Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK.


Carol Ann Johnson


Carol Ann Johnson, 72, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Carol was born June 13, 1946 in Santa Monica, CA to James Buck & Nova Jewell (Sutton)  Daughtery.  She was a florist.  Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Reed Johnson; brother, James Edward Daugherty & sister, Thelma Mae McAmis.

          Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Raposo of San Jose, CA, Dawn Cavallaro of Poteau, OK, Victoria Moitoso of Hollister, CA, Jessica Johnson Hardesty of Bixby, OK; sons, Michael & Martin Sell; grandchildren, Justin & Gunar Raposo, Gino Cavallaro, Victor & Vanessa Moitoso, Garrick Hardesty; great grandchild, Jett Raposo;  other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Memorial services will be at her home, 21594 Coggins Rd, Poteau at 10 am, Monday, August 27, 2018.
