Miles Leon Boling

 

Miles Leon Boling, 68, of Spiro, OK passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Spiro.  Miles was born July 24, 1953 in Poteau, OK to Everett Spencer & Mary Lee (Thompson) Boling.  Miles enjoyed playing music and singing.  He loved his grandkids.  Miles was preceded in death by his parents, Everett, Mary, & Sonny Leon Ward;  his wife, Kathryn Wade) Boling; one daughter, Mary Kay Ellis; and sister, Vicki Earls.

 

Survivors include sons, Everett Boling, Corey Boling; daughter, Christy Boling; five grandchildren; Clifford "Bubba" Ellis, Braydon Boling, Kathy Ellis, Bonnie Ellis, Dyer Ellis; 2 great grandchildren; Arya Ellis & Alijah Ellis, sisters, Donna Cleveland & husband Earl, Sandra Garrett & husband Chad, Debra Allensworth; brothers, Keith Boling & wife Jamie, Evan Boling, Bill Ward & wife, Mamie, Ronnie Ward & wife, Connie, and Darryl Ward; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

 

Memorial services will be held Saturday November 6, 2021, 11:00am at Shady Point cemetery pavilion, with Roy Scroggins officiating.

Joann (Dusek) Sykes


Joann (Dusek) Sykes, 78, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Poteau.  Joann was born April 3, 1943 to John Rudy & Oda (Cast) Dusek in Howe, OK.  She was Lutheran.  Joann was retired from K-Mart Corp in Houston, TX, after having worked as Personnel Director for many years.  She was preceded in death by her son, Joey; her parents; brother, Mickey; and her husband of 57 years, Frankie Claude Sykes; and her niece, Ann Carsello.

 Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca and son in law, Aaron Boehme; three grandchildren, Jenna, Jentry & Jace Boehme of Heavener; two sisters, Gladys Cloakey of Howe, and Grace Dehart of Poteau; several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

 Private services will be held in Clarksville, AR where Joann and her husband Frankie shall be interred beside their beloved son, Joey.

Bud Thompson


Andrew “Bud” aka ”Puddin” Thompson, Jr., 73, of Rock Island, OK passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at his home.  Bud was born August 20, 1948 in Hartshorne, OK to Andrew Monroe Sr. &  Lillian Thompson. Bud was a veteran of the US Army.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jason; brothers, John & wife Jan, David Thompson; sisters, Doris, Darlene, Ruby and Louise.

 Survivors include his wife, Linda; sons & daughters in law, Andy  & Tina Thompson of Monroe, OK, Randy & Amy Thompson of Cameron, OK; 17 grandkids  15 great grandkids and one on the way; sister, Linda Ritter of Poteau, OK; brothers, Harold Thompson of Stigler, Roger Thompson of Midwest City, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

 Services will be 10 am, Monday, November 1, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, with Jim Cook & Tony Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK.  Pallbearers will be his sons & grandsons, Andy, Randy, A.J., Brett, Blaine, and Dustin.  Honorary pallbearers will be Theron, Ethan, Zack, Zane and Bud Killion.
