Catherine M. Stephens, 83,
of Tulsa, OK (formerly of Shady Point, OK) passed away Friday,
September 11, 2015 in Tulsa, OK.
Catherine was born November 19, 1931 in Panama, OK to Charles Claude
& Mary Marie (Mosco) Stephens. She
was retired August 1, 1984 after 32 years as
an electronic technician for AT&T.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Gladys
Stephens; one brother & two sisters.
Survivors include her
sister, Edith Stephens Brown of Shawnee, OK; wonderful friend, G Rae of Tulsa,
OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2pm,
Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Evans
Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK.
Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK.

Catherine was a sweet lady and a good friend. Always glad to see me when I visited her and had a kind word to say. She endured her troubles gracefully and said that everyone has a cross to bear. She had a great mind which we tested over and over again by doing quizzes over the internet (my phone)and her scores were up there with the best of them. She would spend hours doing word search puzzels. Said that kept her mind sharp, and it did. She had a good sense of humor, often laughing when she could've been crying. Catherine's voice was amazing. She would sing hymns and songs that she learned as a child. I loved to listen to her sing.
Catherine often told me dreams she had about meeting Jesus and how wonderful heaven would be. She's not having to dream anymore. She is in the arms of her Savior, just where she longed to be.
I love you Catherine. You are greatly missed.
