Terry Edward Koeninger, 65, of Poteau, OK
passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Poteau. Terry was born February 11, 1947 in Plainview, TX
to Ernest Edward & Gussie Margaurite (Orcutt) Koeninger. Terry retired in 2007 after 38 years with
J.C. Penney. His tenure with J.C. Penney
began in Lubbock, TX.
Ten years were in Fort Smith,
AR as assistant manager. The last thirteen years he was manager in Maysville, KY. Terry began his courageous battle with cancer
in 2008 and on Tuesday he won, receiving his prize of heaven.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of the home; 2
daughters, Tracie & Greg Henry of Weatherford, OK, Kelly & Jeff Hewitt
of Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren, Katie & Tyler Henry of Weatherford, OK,
Josh & Kaycee Hall of Poteau, OK, Layne & Zayden Dennis of Poteau, OK;
brother & sister in law, Larry & Mary Koeninger of College Station, TX;
step children, Kelley Dennis & Jeff Dennis of Poteau, OK; special friends,
Bary & Betty Kinslow of Cookson, OK; other relatives & loved ones; many
beloved friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American
Cancer Society or the Gideons Int’l.

Shirley & family, We loved T.K. and will miss him terribly just as each of you will. He had a great spirit and loved so many things that he hoped to do after retirement. We are just sorry that his health kept him from doing most of them. It was a blessing knowing and being with him. We are glad he is no longer in pain and not suffering, his Christmas this year will be like none other. God's blessings to all of you.
