Joey Kelly

Joey Kelly of Fort Smith, Arkansas entered into rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Joey was born in Williams, Oklahoma to Harold & Betty (Darneal) Kelly. He was a member of Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church and was maintenance manager at Rheem Manufacturing where he retired after 33 years. Joey’s father, Harold Kelly & a brother, Glenn Kelly preceded him in death. Joey is survived by his wife, Kay Kelly of the home; a daughter & son in law, Kristi & Dave Hill of Fort Smith, AR; a granddaughter, Ashlee; his mother, Betty Detamore of Spiro, OK; a sister, Susie Kelly of Spiro, OK; special nieces & nephews, Kellie, Susan, , Jackie, Shauna, Karen, Rita, Katherine, Brandon, Marty & Mark; numerous other relatives & loved ones & many beloved friends. Funeral services for Joey were held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Evans Memorial Chapel in Pocola, Oklahoma with the Reverend Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Interment followed the services at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, OK with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola, Oklahoma. Pallbearers were Harry Killian, Scott Killian, Michael Killian, Douglas Killian, Jerry Murray, & Allan Jackson.

Kay we are so sorry to hear about the passing of Joey...You, Joey and Kristi were a big part of our lives for so many years...We have lots of good memories of the times we spent on the softball field with the girls and going to Church with you for so long...the walks we use to all take..there were so many good times and those are memories we will always have...This will be a long hard road to go down but with family, friends and most of all God to lean on you want be along...Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and all your family...God's Blessings from Bill and Carolyn Needham...Mother of Arlen Monday and the late Lisa (Monday) Smith..
