I have known Forrest for almost 44 years. He was always friendly and had time to talk. He and my wife are cousins. We were shocked to learn of his passing as we both had our health problems. There are many good things that could be said about Forrest, most of all He never complained and will be missed by all who knew him. May the Lord Bless and keep his family.

First time I heard of Forrest Shankle, the name sounded bigger than life. I was pleased to meet him and work for him. Much time has gone by, but few people make "that" impression. I am thankful for that time in my life where Forrest Shankle was "bigger than life" and gave me opportunity to grow. I still have some tools of the trade that I got from him. Guys like Forrest live in the memories of family that loved him, and in the memories of guys like me that admired and respected him. I think of him very often, and do speak his name to people who say, "Forrest Shankle"? Yes, Forrest Shankle:)
