Thomas Verle Lum, 85, of
Poteau, OK passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 in Ft. Smith, AR. Thomas was born May 30, 1930 in Oklahoma
City, OK to Verle L. & Linnie Mae (Vaughan) Lum. Thomas was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired principal & teacher. Thomas was a member of the Poteau Church of
Christ where he served as an elder, deacon and song leader for many years.
Survivors include his wife,
Nora Faye of the home; sons & daughters in law, Randal & Mia Lum,
Ronald & Sandra Lum all of Poteau, OK, Michael & Lori Lum of Weatherford, TX; 8 grandchildren, Miranda, Jeffrey,
Jerod, Justin, Cody, Jonathan, Kyler, Jason; 6 great grandchildren; other
relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Poteau Church of Christ with Donald Cherry &
Michael Lum officiating. Interment will
follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey, Jerod, Justin, Cody, Jonathan, Kyler &
Jason Lum, & Andrew Jenson.
In Lieu of flowers the
family requests donations be made to "In Search of the Lord's Way" a
