William Robert "Bob"
Acker, 77, of Monroe, OK passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in
Monroe. Bob was born December 20, 1938
in Poteau, OK to Lee Allen & Mildred Norene (Ardis) Acker. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served
for 6 years. Bob was a pump service
mechanic. Bob & Mary were married
for 40 years, 3 months, 3 weeks and 5 days.
He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church where he drove for church camp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Wayne Acker; grandson, Billy Lofton; sister, Mildred Aileen
Roy; brother, Allen Dwayne Acker.
Survivors include his wife,
Mary L. of the home; daughters, Pamla J. Rogers of Kinta, OK, Karen K. Masini & husband Michael of Monroe, OK; sons, Rodney W. Acker & wife Inga of Edmond, OK, Donald K.
Conner of Monroe, OK; 6 grandchildren. Krystal Follet, Luci Lofton, Rodney
Acker Jr., Nickolas Acker, Amanda & Kory Harding, Joshua & Crystal Kelley; 8 great grandchildren;
very special nephew, Tommy Norwood;
sister, Gayla Broome & husband Jim of Norman, OK; other relatives,
loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Friday, March 18, 2016 at Springhill Baptist Church, Monroe, OK with Rev. Jim
Cook officiating. Interment will follow
in Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, OK.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
