Harold Lee Nichols, 84, of
Pocola, OK passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 in Ft. Smith, AR. Harold was born December 25, 1931 in Pocola,
OK to Charles Verlon & Myrtle Lee
(Childress) Nichols. He was a minister
of the Gospel, pastoring churches in Wildwood, Van Buren, @ 59 Junction, Possum
Hollow, Bennington, Shady Point and Spiro.
He was a journeyman plumber by trade.
Harold was preceded in death by
his parents; wife, Dortha Bell (Sweeten) Nichols on 1/23/1997; sisters, Beulah Tucker,
Della Ferrell, Velma Poston.
Survivors include his
daughters & son in law, Cathey Lovell of Pocola, OK, Shirley & Clyde Hess of Poteau, OK; sons,
Kenneth Nichols of Cameron, OK, Hank Nichols
of Laverne, OK; grandchildren, Lucas, Gabriel, Nicholas, Kristin &
Eric; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Dolan of Pocola, OK; other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola, OK with Rev.
Nicholas Hess officiating. Interment
will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Spiro, OK.
Pallbearers will be Justin Ward, Jimmy Nixon, Eddie Poston, Jim Lovell, Donald
Elmore & J.D. Russell.
