Earl Cody “Buddy” Rhodes, 89, of Talihina, OK passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Talihina. Buddy was born July 30, 1924 in Centrahoma, OK to Earl Hudson & Dorothy (Jordan) Rhodes. He was retired as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service. Buddy was a disabled veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Lakeview Church in Spiro, OK and a member of FOE (Eagles) of Spiro, OK. He enjoyed watching baseball particularly NY Yankees, and sports on TV. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Hilliard..

Barbara Rhodes of Alma, AR; grandchildren, Bradley & Jamie McKinney of
Spiro, OK, Joseph & Katrina McKinney of Morrilton, AR, Brianna (Bourne)
& Josh Ronison of Spiro, OK, Trevor Bourne of Tahlequah, OK, Tammy Vines of
Van Buren, AR; 8 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen King; other relatives
& loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK
with Bro. Don Cherry officiating. Interment
will follow in Fairview Cemetery,
Panama,
OK. Pallbearers will be Brian Dedmon,
Bradley McKinney, Joseph McKinney, Trevor Bourne, Josh Robison, Jeremy Jones.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
