Marietta Covey, 71, of Wister, OK passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 in Wister, OK. Marietta was born August 4, 1939 in Tahlequah, OK to John & Jessie (Anthony) Comingdeer. She worked with KiBois as well as being a homemaker. Marietta was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jr. & Tommy and sister, Uila (Westie); grandson, Stormy Ryburn. Survivors include her husband, Ed of the home; daughter & son in law, Kim & Ronnie Covey of Stigler, OK, Sean & Devin Covey of Monroe, OK; 3 grandchildren, McKenna Covey, Brooklyn Covey & Andruw Covey; 4 sisters, Uiva Tubbs of Muskogee, OK, Pat Stielow of Paradise, KS, Tanya Comingdeer and Sonya Comingdeer both of Tahlequah, OK; 4 brothers, Ron & Floyd Comingdeer both of Oklahoma City, OK, Tony Comingdeer of Tahlequah, OK & Gary Comingdeer of Orlando, FL; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends. Services will be held 2 pm, Friday, February 11, 2011 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Wister, OK with Rev. PJ Atkinson and Rev. Jack Covey officiating. Interment will follow in Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister, OK. Pallbearers will be Adam DeHart, Eric DeHart, Ronnie Covey, Cory Yandell, Brad Farley, Gene Skelton, Doug Shipman & Ty Armstrong. The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 to visit with relatives & friends.
