Sonja Ursula
McAllister-Thomas, 48, of Poteau, OK, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in
Poteau. Sonja was born February 27, 1969
in Miltenberg, Germany to Albert & Dietlinde Maria (Gerstberger) Zettl.
She is survived by her
husband, Joe K. Thomas III; son, Travis Allen Ray McAllister; daughters, Kelly
Dianna Maria McAllister & Jessika Marie McAllister Everett; son in law,
Carl Everett; granddaughter, Aurora Jane Everett; her parents; sisters, Angela
Brunhilde Wenzel & Dianna Erika Fischinger; nieces, Jasmin Fischinger and
Laura; nephews, Patrick Wenzel , Manuel Fischinger; other relatives,
loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, Poteau, OK with Brian Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.

So sad to see this. Sonja was one of my former students and an absolute jewel! We had many laughs together, and I am proud to have had the privilege of knowing her. I’m thankful we shared faith so I know she is with Jesus now. Prayers for her family.
