Freda
Fonzell Armstrong, 74, Poteau, OK passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Poteau, OK. Freda was born January 7, 1941 in Poteau, OK to Bill &
Ocie Bell (Harris) Walker. She was a 30 year dedicated Walmart employee She was a member of the Poteau Church of
Christ. Freda was preceded in death by
her father, Bill Walker & brother, Billy Walker.
Survivors
include her husband, Irvin of the home; daughters, Jackie & Dan Brown of
Oologah, OK, Vickie Oliver of Tulsa, OK, Nancy Lee Armstrong; sons, Danny
Armstrong & Keith Armstrong of Poteau, OK, Leon & Barbara Armstrong of
Van Buren, AR, Michael Armstrong of Poteau, OK; mother, Ocie Walker Poteau, OK;
10 grandchildren, Lance, Jon, Matt Ollie, Seth Armstrong, Sarah Chanthaseny,
Ryan, Kaynon, Brayden Armstrong, Charlie Shumate, Brittany Keller; 9 great
grandchildren, Abby Barnes, Sidney & Addy Armstrong, Cole Chanthaseny, Makenzie
& Madisyn Wilson, Macie Keller, Beckham & Kasen Ollie; sister, Lisa;
brothers, Mike, Ira , Joe & Carl
Walker, Bruce & Tom Bailey; other
relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services
will be 2 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Poteau Church of Christ with Don
Cherry officiating. Interment will
follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau,
OK. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lance,
Jonathan, Mathew Ollie, Seth, Ryan and Kanyon Armstrong.
The
family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with
relatives & friends.
Donations
may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

So sad to hear of Mrs. Armstrong's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family at this time.I will always remember Mrs. Armstrong's bright personality and kindness working register 14 at Wal-Mart! She will truly be missed.
