for Doc Stone

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the
sudden passing of "Doc" Stone, 54 from Poteau, Ok. Doc was born on
April 9,1960 in Tulsa ,Ok to Jan and Gene Stone. He was given the birth
name of Brett Eugene Stone, but lets face it the only people that ever
called him that were his mom, the IRS, and his wife when he made a mess
trying to cook up the best pulled pork you have ever tasted. Doc was
arguably the best chiropractor our bones have ever met.
Doc enjoyed Corona, John Wayne movies, shooting, collecting guns, Panama Football, Cameron Baseball, classic rock and roll, applying agonizing pressure points to innocent bystanders, and his two fierce Maltese Leeloo and Sookie. He is survived by his wife Kathy Stone, mom and dad Jan and Gene Stone, Brother Steve Stone, step children Catlen and Ashley Sanders, Chris and Sherri Smith, and Jason and Victoria Smith, and his wonderful patients that he adored. Doc loved his job and loved socializing with the community. His family dreaded going on quick Walmart trips with him, because the trips seemed to last days and he knew everyone ....., and their dog. His friends and family will miss him dearly. Please keep his friends and family in your prayers as they try to heal and process during this difficult time. Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Panama Gymnasium. Please send flower to the Panama Gym.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of this. Doc was truly an excellent chiropractor and an all around great person. My deepest sympathies to his family.
My days will be a little less bright knowing my friend has gone on to better things. I guess Jesus needed an adjustment. God speed my friend since childhood, my teammate and co-conspirator.
I was sorry to hear of Brett's passing! He was one of my brother's, Jon Smith, wonderful friends in high school. They were in the same class, played football together, and hung out. We lost Jon to suicide 23 yrs. ago and I know he welcomed Brett when he came through those pearly gates! Rest in peace Brett!

I will miss his sense of humor, joking around about this or that. I will miss how friendly, yet to the point he could be.
Many a time I've had to have an alignment done and he had the magic touch.
Thanks for all your good work Doc.
You will be missed... :(
Hard to believe Brett has been gone now more than two years now. Am his older Brother Steven. A few of my fond memories of brother; His Sophomore year at Baker Univ. Brett had made Varsity team and that particular year had got to go to a Football game and watch him play. As memory serves me it was a great game, Baker had won victoriously.. Afterwards mom, dad and i met with him and his Coach and others. What a list of Individuals on the Team as well as there then Head Coach Joe Girardy, who now is Manager of New York Yankees!!! We miss you Brother, and will see you again, and we'll all be together, Eternally. Love and miss you, Steven.
Yes Steven you will see your brother again. Know how much you loved him. God bless you and comfort you.
