Billy
Joe Kinsey, 83, of Heavener, OK passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 in
Heavener, OK. Billy Joe was born June
20, 1931 in Poteau, OK to Abe & Willie (Davis) Kinsey. He was retired from the US Air Force after 20
years of service. He boxed while he was
in the service. Billy Joe taught at the elementary
& middle school level in many subjects retiring at Heavener Public Schools
where he taught and coached. He was
beloved by generations of children and young adults that he taught &
coached. He enjoyed game hunting,
especially duck hunting. He loved
playing, coaching, and watching sports particularly OU football &
basketball, and the Dallas Cowboys. Billy Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife,
Erika Kinsey; brothers, Allen & Jimmy Kinsey; son in law, Irvin Benson;
grandson, Johnathon Pugh.
Survivors
include his daughters, Evelyn Pugh & husband John of Heavener, OK, Marilyn
Hall & husband Chris of Wister, OK, Carolyn Benson of Heavener, OK; sons,
Billy Wayne Kinsey, David Kinsey & wife Fay all of Panama, OK; sisters,
Frances Sisco & husband, Al of Bayonet Point, FL, Carolyn Schreibvogl &
husband Steve of Austin, TX, Cynthia Waldridge & husband Walter of
McAlester, OK, Sonya Kinsey of Calhoun, OK; brothers, Michael R. Kinsey, Larry
D. Kinsey, Charles Kinsey & wife Karen, Loyd R. Kinsey & wife Teresa
Cherry; grandchildren, Christy Crouch, Justin & wife Moriah Benson, Bucky
Pugh, Zac Hall, Jeremey Pugh, Monica & husband Sean Wilson, Kristal &
husband Marvin Phillips, Kayla Kinsey, Jonathan & wife Amie Kinsey, Matt
Kinsey, Kourtney Kinsey; great grandchildren, Kinsey & Conner Peck, Miciah
Benson, Emily Martinez, Aiden Phillips, Madison & Maddox Rogers; numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and many friends.
Memorial
service will be 2 pm, Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Heavener First
Baptist Church.
