Barry Joe Duncan, 67, of Wister, OK
passed away Thursday June 5, 2014 in Wister. Joe was born May 23, 1947 in
Poteau, OK to
Bedford Joe & Lura Laverne (King) Duncan. He was a man of many talents, trapping being
among them. Joe attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Survivors include his
beloved wife, Miyako “Mimi” (Shiragaki) Duncan; son, Billy Joe “B.Joe” Duncan;
mother, Lura Duncan of Wister; 3
granddaughters, Hannah Steelman of Summerfield, OK, Brooklyn & Ashlyn
Duncan of Wister; grandsons, Reece Lamb of Wister, Matt Steelman of
Summerfield, OK; brother & sister in law, Keith & Colleen Duncan of
Oklahoma City, OK; sister & brother in law Carole Louis Gill of Poteau, OK;
uncle, Harold Duncan of Poteau; numerous cousins, other relatives, loved ones
& friends.
Memorial services – 2 pm,
Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Ellis Chapel Church,
Wister, OK
with Rev. Clyde Steelman officiating.
