George Leslie Lenard, 65,
Stonewall, LA (formerly of LeFlore,
OK) passed away Tuesday, November
26, 2013, in Stonewall, LA. George was
born May 9, 1948 in Summerfield,
OK to James Hiram William &
Clara Dean (Wheeler) Lenard. George
graduated from LeFlore High School & joined the US Air Force & did a tour in Vietnam. George was an architect. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Peggy
Survilla Lenard, brother, Charles Allen Lenard; brother in law, Raymond Edward
Glenn.
Survivors include his son,
Carl Eugene Lenard of the home; brothers & sister in law, Rolly A. Lenard
of Sugarloaf Lake, AR, James William & Lynn Lenard of Haskell, OK; sisters,
& brothers in law, Carrie Jean Glenn of Howe, OK, Emmie Lou & Gary
Carpenter of Wister, OK, Rebecca Jane “Janie” & Davy Don Owens of
Summerfield, OK; sister in law, Linda Lenard of Crystal Springs, MS; numerous
nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, great great nieces & nephews;
other relatives & loved ones & friends.
Services will be 4 pm, Friday, December 13,
2013 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau,
OK with Rev. Jim Cook
officiating.
In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to Sawyer Owens Kidney Transplant Fund, Community State
Bank.
