Eldred Edward Chronister, 85 of Poteau, OK passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 in Fayetteville, AR. Eldred was born August 30, 1935 in Kinta, OK to Millard & Perna Bell (Fry) Chronister. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and an educator. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patty Ann; grandson, Justin; sister, Audria Roe; brothers, Ray, Fay, Bobby & Linston Chronister.
Eldred is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Mark Chronister & Jeff Chronister of Poteau, OK; grandsons, Matthew & wife Katelen Chronister of Poteau and Jared & wife Morganne Chronister of Ft. Smith, AR; sisters, Betty Newby of Wister, OK; brothers, Buford & wife Shirley Chronister of Kemah, TX, J.W. & wife Colene Perry of Lubbock, TX; sister in law, Jean Chronister of Wister, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau with Phil McGehee & Kelly Chronister officiating.
