Walter Gustafson, 76, of Panama, OK passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 in Poteau, OK. Walter was born August 1, 1935 in Attlebord, MA to Carl E. & Grace M (Nickerson) Gustafson. He was a truck driver. Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; his parents; and stepson, Zollen L. Tucker Jr.
Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Spiro, OK.
The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

walter also left behind 2 daughters and 2 granddaughter back in new england who are sadly not mentioned here. also 2 nephews. my father abandonded his family long ago and although we tried to reconnect with him a couple of times he just never gave it any effort. although i did not have a great father/daughter relationship with him i do still feel badly about his passing, and not being notifies so that i could attend,etc. my sister and i would like to offer our condolences to whatever family he did leave behind. i hope he was a better father to you than he was to us.
Did Walter have a brother named Edmond?
