Margaret Ann "Peggy" Karl, 69, of Pocola, OK
passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, in Pocola.
Peggy was born November 19, 1948, in Mansfield, AR to the late Bill
& Edith (Dill) Lokey. Peggy was a
retired school teacher, although, she still worked part time teaching History
at Pocola Middle School. She was good to
her students and had high expectations.
She loved working in her yard taking care of her flowers and lawn. Her house was the gathering place on Saturday
nights for several decades. There would
be card games and dominos and lots of food and laughter. The competition was always fierce. Peggy was a simple and very private
person. She loved her boys,
granddaughters, extended family and friends as well as two very special
friends, Clara Treat & Melanie Stogner, her teaching buddy. She was loved in return and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Fritz Henry Karl; sister, Bettye Deford & brothers, Don & Rex Lokey.
She is survived by her sons, James of the home; Hank &
wife Melinda of Muldrow, OK; two stepchildren, Johnny of Roland, OK; Tammy
Pulsa and daughter Whitney of Fort Smith, AR; two granddaughters, Kelsey Karl
of Ft. Smith, AR, Megan Karl of Pocola, OK; her brothers, Bob
Lokey & wife Mary of Holly Grove, WV, Jack Lokey & wife Sue of Pocola,
OK, Mike Lokey & wife Teresa of
Glennwood, AR, Danny Lokey & wife Debbie of Arkoma, OK; sisters, Joy
Whatley & husband Rex of Sallisaw, OK, June Edwards of Hawkins, TX.
At her request, there
will be a private family service.
In lieu of flowers the family
requests that donations be made to St. Jude's in honor of Margaret Karl. -

So sorry to hear of Peggy passing. I enjoyed working with Peggy. She always made me laugh and make my day better. My deepest sympathies to the family.
She was such a special person and one of my favorite Aunts. I will really feel the loss the next time I come to Oklahoma and walk into her house and don't hear her sweet voice and laughter! Prayers and Love to you all!

I remember Mrs.Karl from school many years ago. Though she was not my teacher, I believe she taught my siblings. I wanted to express my condolences on your loss. During times of grief I have found great comfort from the Bible promise of a resurrection as promised at Acts 24:15. Soon there will be a future free of death and sorrow (Revelation 21:3,4) Please be assured our heavenly father is aware of your pain and can comfort you (Isaiah 41:13 ; Psalm 94:19). May this hope and your memories sustain you during these difficult days.
