Elda Mae Walker, 82, of Panama, OK passed away Wednesday,
April 23, 2014 in Spiro, OK. Elda was born January 1, 1932 in Panama (Poker
Bend), OK to William & Rena (Keeney) Darneal. She worked at Whirlpool. Elda
was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul “Sonny” Walker. She loved to cook for kids & grandkids
and loved to watch them play ball.
Survivors include her
children Gayle James of Shady Point, OK, Mike
& Sherri Walker, Mark Walker all of Panama, OK, Gerald & Lois
Gotes of Poteau, OK, Gary Walker of Dallas, OR; 11 grandchildren, Shaun
Colwell, Robyn Brewer, Cassie James, Matt & Nikki Walker, Weston Walker,
Shannon & Vickie Gotes, Scott &
Kim Gotes, Heather & Jamie Stewart, Marcus & Cheryl Gotes-Jasso, Jason
& Lacy Walker-Bayne, Kendra & Tyler Walker-Nunn; 23 great
grandchildren; 3 sisters, Opal Brown, June Johnson, Catherine Skelton; other
relatives & loved ones; many friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Friday, April 25, 2014 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK
with Rev. David Nolan & Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview
Cemetery, Panama,
OK.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
