Jo Anne Jones, 81, of Wister, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 in Wister, OK. Jo Anne was born on April 29, 1928 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Frederick & Ethel (Beaver) Jones. She was a veteran of the US Navy and was a Medicare Fraud Specialist for DHS until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, her paternal grandparents George & Mary Van Antwerp Jones & her paternal grandparents, Austin & Mary Gilfelten Beaver.
Jo Anne is survived by a special friend, Susanna Davis of Wister, OK; numerous cousins, other relatives & loved ones and many beloved friends.
Funeral services for Jo Anne were held at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with the Reverend Ed Cunningham officiating. Interment was on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell, Oklahoma with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
