Gertrude Dixon, 87, of Pocola, OK went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2009 from her home in Pocola. She was born in Cedars, OK on April 21, 1921 to Francis & Nettie [Anderson] Montgomery. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Pocola, OK. Mrs. Dixon is survived by one son, Willie Joe Dixon of Pocola, OK; 5 daughters, Betty Bunch of Spiro, OK, Lucille Wilson of Ft. Smith, AR, Birta Dixon of Pocola, OK, V. Ann Dixon-Reid of Richmond, TX, Darlene Dixon-Carter of Pocola, OK, Rosie Rawlins of Pocola, OK; 20 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren; 2 sistesr, Thelma Clark and Francis Whitmore of Pocola, OK; and brother, Robert Montgomery of Ft. Smith, AR.
Services will be held 11 am, Monday, April 6, 2009 at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Pocola, OK with interment following in Leard Cemetery, Pocola, OK.
