Irene Marie (Hagenson) Pope, 64, of Poteau, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009 in Poteau, OK. Irene was born on February 5, 1945 in Clinton, Iowa to Ernest William & Lillian Irene (Dowson) Hagenson. Irene was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a homemaker. Her parents & 2 brothers preceded Irene in death. Irene is survived by her husband, Teddy Pope of the home; a brother, Paul Dent of Bellevue, IA, a sister, Sarah Heath of Clinton, IA; special friend & caregiver, Brenda Luman of Wister, OK; numerous other relatives & loved ones; and many beloved friends. Memorial services for Irene were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with the Reverend Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, OK.
