David Clark, 72, of Poteau, Ok passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 in Ft. Smith, AR. Mr. Clark was born in Swink, OK on May 3, 1936 to Dave & Eunice [Powers] Clark. He was retired from Pitchford Glass Company in Heavener, OK & a newspaper carrier for Poteau Daily News & Sun for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, & spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather & will be missed by his many friends, route customers, & newspaper family.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary (Scott) Clark; 5 daughters, Melanie Potter & Lisa Taylor of Poteau, OK, Tiffany & DJ Sugg of Cameron, OK, Eunice Ann Clark, Diana Lynn Clark, & Shelia Rene Clark all of California; 3 sons, Jessie Clark & Liz Wood of Cameron, OK, DAniel & Misty Clark of Roland, OK, Richard David Clark of California; 5 sisters, Bennie Jo Middleton of California, Carol Fonstein of Sulphur, OK, Ruth Davis of Little Ax, OK, Jane Scott of Howe, OK, Opal Ellison of Van Buren, AR; 2 brothers, Robert Clark of Purcell, OK and Thomas Clark of Pauls Valley, OK, 3 grandchildren, Brittany Moore, Hailey Treat, & Xavier Sugg all of the home; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services: 2 pm, Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion - Poteau, OK with Rev. Clyde Hess officiating. Interment following in Oakland Cemetery
