Funeral Service for Douglas Dewayne Collins, 60 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2pm on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Evans and Miller Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
Doug was born on December 12, 1961 in Santa Paula, California to Gladys (Holloway) Collins and James Charles Collins and passed away on June 16, 2022 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Collins; sisters, Kay Evans, and Mary Murray. Doug was a lifelong and avid OU fan and lover of hunting and fishing. One of Doug's favorite past times was spending time with numerous friends playing pool. Doug was so proud of and loved his daughters, and grandchildren. Sharing pictures and stories about them was a must. He was so proud of each of them.
Survivors include: the mother of his children, Linda Vise; daughters, Mandi Collins, and Brandi Prichard; brothers, James Collins, Ronnie Collins, and Donnie Collins; his beloved dog Star; grandchildren, Mali Nuss, Madisynn Prichard, and Colt Gish; great grandchild, Finley Summers; nieces and nephews, Shannon and Loretta Collins; great nephews, Brandon and Rexx Collins; numerous other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Collins, Brandon Collins, Greg King, Brian Rodgers, Shannon Burden, Billy Ray Cowett, Donnie Jones, Terry Vise, Mike McCroskey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rexx Collins.
Viewing will be Friday from 6-8pm.
