Graveside Service for Dennis Ray Harp, 61 of Shady Point, Oklahoma will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Cook officiating. Services are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home
Dennis was born on November 17, 1959 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Iva (Qualls) Harp and Arthur Lee Harp, Sr. and passed away on September 25, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Joy (Brown) Harp on August 22, 2008 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lee Harp, Sr., brother, Paul E. Harp, and grandparents, Clay Qualls, Jewell Mayfield Qualls, Bill Harp and Eula Mae Harp. He loved the outdoors and being in the woods. Dennis was a great hunter of wild hogs, squirrels, turkey and deer. He studied small engines at Kiamichi Vo-Tech.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Jarie Harp of the home; son, Danny Harp of Poteau, Oklahoma; mom, Iva Harp of Poteau, Oklahoma; brother lee Harp and wife Chaya of New Mexico; Aunt, Sheila Davidson of Poteau, Oklahoma; Uncle Jerry Qualls of Shady Point, Oklahoma, numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, along with other relatives and loved ones.
Active Pallbearers will be Kirk Archey, Michael Davis, Steven Moss, John Robertson, Danny Lee Pettigrew, and Alex Ramirez.
