Liz Perry

 Elizabeth Perry, 81, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 in Tulsa, OK.  Liz was born November 9, 1939 in Red Oak, OK to John Elmer & Bernice (Ritch) Prock.  She was a teacher for 35 years ending her career at Poteau Schools.  Liz was married June 4, 1964 to Bill Perry who preceded her in death on December 22, 1982.

 

Survivors include her son & daughter in law, John  & Nikki Perry; grandchildren, Haven Reid, Dawson Rex, Burke Ritch and Brady Rowe Perry; brother Dr. Stan & Fran Prock; nephew, Patrick & Rachel Prock; nieces, Stephanie & Robert Shalhope, Leslie Prock & Antonio Bellisario; numerous great nieces, nephews, other relatives, loves ones and many beloved friends.

 

Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Perkin officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Mark McMillin, Toby Culver, Rodney Hemphill, Randall Wheat, Tim Renfro, & Harold Duncan.  There will be no public viewing. You may sign the book at the funeral home.

          The service will be live-streamed at poteaufumc.com.

This is the oldest "Franklin girls", My heart is so sad for your loss. Liz is such a beautiful woman inside and out. Our Mother as well as my sisters loved her so much, she made you feel so special. She will be missed. I pray God will wrap his arms around you and ease your pain.

All of Liz’s life, she has always shown such kindness and goodness to everyone. I felt so fortunate to call her friend. She had such a beautiful smile and a loving heart. My entire family loved her. RIP dear friend.💗
