BILLY JACK BELL

Billy Jack Bell was released from his earthly body March 14, 2021 with his family near.  Billy Jack was born January 9, 1955 to John Henry & Margaret L. (Coogan) Bell.  He was the third son, born after Johnny Lee and Danny Ron.  Later Tami Ann completed the Bell family.

Billy Jack graduated from Panama High School, and fell in love with Carolyn Fox.

The two married and had three daughters, Amber Lynn, Laci Annette, and Tarah Nicole.  After sixteen years the couple parted ways.  He was blessed with love a second time and married Lisa Knapp.  His youngest daughter Jessica Lynn joined the family.

Billy Jack was a lifelong patriot and a veteran of both the Army and Navy.  He worked hard and became a karate sensei.  He served as a police officer in many towns across LeFlore County.  After leaving law enforcement he completed his working years at Baldor.  He was an avid hunter and storyteller, making lifelong friends along the way.

He enjoyed being in the company of gorgeous women, a good cigar, having a drink in hand, riding Harleys, creating amazing leatherwork, gunsmithing, and spending time with family and friends…not necessarily in that order.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.

His survivors include his sister, Tami Shoup; his girls and husbands, Amber & Al Gonzalez, Laci Cameron & Scott Brown, Tarah & Brandon Fruen, and Jessica Bell; his grandbabies, Alea Gonzalez, Fox Gonzalez, Avery Cameron, Jaxon Gonzalez,  Mason Cameron, Ry Fruen, Grayson Cameron, Tru Fruen, Jeslyn Bell, and Jesse Bell; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Memorial Services will be 2 pm, Monday, March 22, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK.  Pallbearers will be his oldest grands, Alea, Fox and Jaxon Gonzalez, Avery, Mason, and Grayson Cameron, Ry and Tru Fruen.
