Jerry Harding

 
       
Jerry LeRoy Harding, 73, of Bokoshe, OK  was born in Garden City, KS on July 31, 1947 and passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his home.  Jerry grew up on a farm outside of Booneville, AR.  He joined the Marine Corp in 1967 and served as a Lance Corporal, surviving a 13 month tour in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive.  He was honorably discharged in 1969 and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Jerry worked for many years for the Sebastian County Roads, AR and as a civil service worker at Fort Chaffee, Roads & Grounds Heavy Equipment Operator and Road Construction Inspector.  He retired to the Harding Ranch north of Bokoshe, OK where he raised cattle, registered Quarter Horses, and registered Redbone Coonhounds.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Henry Louis & Mary Ellen (Powell) Harding and one sister, Evalyn Ellen Chandler.

           Jerry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pamela Kay Weyhaupt Harding, a retired teacher, and his three children; John Wesley Harding of Bokoshe, OK, Seth Allen Harding and wife Michelle of Fairfax, OK, and Elizabeth Anne Harding Daniels of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren: Taylor, Paige and Abby Harding, Corbin & Carsyn Daniels, Isabel and Sam Harding, Taylor Dunavin & husband Tyler; step grandchildren, Gage & Jordan; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas A. Harding and wife Linda (Fernai) of Washburn, AR; sisters, Phyllis Jeannette Musa of Ft. Smith, AR, Francis Goff and husband Earl of Booneville, AR, Mary Ann Stillings and husband Gary of Tybee Island, GA; many nieces and nephews; others who knew and loved him.           

          Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN  38105.

          No services will be held.

Dear Mrs. Harding,
I am incredibly sorry for your loss I love you and I will miss him he was a big help to the Girl Scouts and Mrs. Harding I am also going to be here for you thank you for being a role model for us girls in girl scouts.
